I intend to build up my torso... I don't have much difficulty with the lower part of my body because I enjoy running, jogging, playing soccer and dancing. It's my torso I'm concerned about. Will steroids help me, along with proper exercise. And what type of steroids would you recommend? I'm new to the steroids stuff so any specific brand would be of great help. Or if it is way too detrimental, then warn me now... :P Thanks all!

My sister is a certified personal trainer... years of experience... she ALso was a 2nd place body builder a few years back... she no longer bodybuilds but still does the personal training thing. AVOID STEROIDS AT ALL COST. They can be very damaging to you heart , terrible on your bones, and can cause a ton of hormone problems... dont wanna accidentally start growing womens breasts do ya???... Seriously... Dont even come close to thinking about it.Growth hormone for the muscles... it can possible backfire and make it more difficult to build great physique. Always think in your mind that you can never do enough cardio. This may be suprising but cardio is a must to improve the torso..its not just for the legs! you probly have plenty of muscle there to begin with but you may need to melt away the fat layer to create the more defined look. Bench pressing and squats with weight on your shoulders suprising will add build o the upper abs... as for pecs bench press do fly extentions and get a medicine ball and lay across a giant exercise ball when you do pushups... those are still great for guys.. old fasioned but works... shoulders and Lats,do buterfly extensions bakwards... this takes practice at first but can be done...put those elbows around the wings and squeeze backwards... hope i explained that right. shoulder shrugs.... lots... this pumps up the fastest. do too much at once.. your in for some good cramps so be careful. SHE pumped up really goo WITHOUT STEROIDS... oh yes and AVOID SALT or as much as you can because it helps your body retain water. the less salt, the more defined the muscles. hope it helps. PS>)) Lets not forge that al important sexual performance... it will decrease as well as sexual drive and you'll have issues with keeping it up with your woman. YA might not wanna go there!

steroids is a no no anytime, it definitely wont make u any healthier. dont u know why so many athletes and players are stripped of their golds, silvers etc.
steroids make ur bones weak ie called osteoporosis, they can cause other hormonal problems, poor immunity u may geta severe life threatening infection.
and i am not exaggerating.
steroids are kind of hormones and playing with hormones is dangerous. no kind of steroids in any dose can be good for this purpose.so just drop the idea.
if u enjoy sports its good keep at it, to improve ur upper torso better u do weight training and increase ur dietary protein, there are millions of protein preparations in market.
steroids harm you long term so just forget it.and be happy with yourself anyway u are helathy god has given u all 4 working limbs what more can 1 ask for.

Well, you may not have difficulty with your lower part now, but if you take steroids you will. It tends to make the little guy a little noodly.

you don't "need" steroids to gain mass all you need is a proper diet and training program. it takes about 10 years of religious dieting and hardcore training before a person will even come close to reaching the natural genetic potential for growth.

Unless you want to be the next mr. universe.... just stick to machine / free weights.

If you want to build your upper torso, may i suggest you google for shoulder training, bench press etc.

To answer your question directly though. No. The cons outweigh the pros.

NooooOoooOOoooOooo! Don't do it!

I've known a number of guys who have used steroids, and every single one of them had to deal with some very unpleasant side effects. My cousin went bald before he was 20!

And yes, it CAN shrink your you-know-what!

pros:
bulkier body
shortcut/fast-track: easy to build muscle

cons:
shrink your testes
excess unwanted hair even for the lean genetic types
very noticeable aggression / anger issues / temper
irrational
poor health / adrenal gland / heart problem
increase in estrogen (emotional)

so shortcuts don't pay.

but you be the judge.

If you plan on dying early and having random roid rage..then go on ahead sir. If you really want to build up your torso, you're gonna have to do it the hard way.

not to take. taking steroids can lead to dangerously high colesterol, elevation blood pressure, and may increase the risk of cardiovascular disease. high doses can cause very severe liver damage as well

Why not up your calorie intake 1st to see if that will help. I added weight by using a weight gainer.
Before you even think about roids, think about using Bcaa, creatine, protein (whey).
