at school I was sitting on a chair checking my cell phone, and this guy creeps up behind my chair and tries to spy on what im doing with my phone and take it. his face was very close which was creepy, so i turned around and moved my cell phone away. was it ok for him to do that or was that sexual harassment?

school or college? guy or student? no, it wasnt ok for him to do that. did he take it? not sexual harr. unless he does touch or says something in a sexual way. (check laws in your state )shoulda told someone so they can keep an eye on him. he will/can get kicked out of school or college. theirs a diffrence.

It wasn't sexual harassment but the next time he does it, tell him that you don't want him that close to you and that you don't want him to take your cellphone.

If he persists, talk to your dean or someone who can take care of the problem.

While it isn't sexual harassment, it's not right for him to do that, just the same.

Just tell your dean or whomever that he keeps getting too close to you and trying to take your cell phone (after school!) even though you've asked him to stop.

He probably wasn't trying to spy on what you were doing, he was just waiting for the right time to snatch your phone.
Was it OK for him to do that? You're in high school; that's what boys do, so no it's not sexual harrassment
He's just you're typical dork. Maybe he has a crush on you.

It doesn't strike me that he did something sexual, so I wouldn't call it sexual harrassment. Nevertheless, if you felt uncomfortable, you should tell him that you don't like it, and leave. My guess is that this kid likes you and hasn't figured out the best way to approach you yet.
