Talk is cheap, even on Y/A site.
I see no documentry evidence offered to prove these guys actually served in the US Armed Forces.
No photographic evidence to back up their claims.
Anybody can post anything on such websites and claim its true.
With regards carrying enemy weapons like AK, if, you do use it against the enemy then they can be sure by the firing signiture that the shots are coming from Americans, one way to hide you location.
If memery serves me correct troops in many wars from WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam etc..etc have carried enemy weapons, it is not against any rules that I know of.

I was there it happened. You had to wonder why American soldiers would take AK47 along with them on patrol rather than using their issued weapons, until you consider its a throw away that they can plant if someone gets shot.
Just like cops in the US.
