I was talking to my grandfather who nearly died and he described it as walking through a beautiful garden.

This is an area of great interest to me. I have read and listened to the accounts of several people who have had such an experience. Scientists claim that oxygen deprivation is the cause of the hallucinations that occur when a person is near death. Doesn't that seem unusual when so many people have had very similar experiences. The one similarity that seems to be present in most such experiences is that the person involved is passing through a tunnel, usually brick. At the end of the tunnel is a very bright light. In the foreground are loved ones who have passed on earlier, greeting and calling to the one having the experience.

The green valley experience is another familiar occurrence. Where the person near death is passing through a green enclosure, either a forest or a tall green grass, just over the hill in the direction the person is traveling is a very bright, even white light.

If this had not been told by several people in much the same manner, I might discount their experience, but since it has happened so often in various parts of the world, I must assume it to be genuine.

The Bible doesn't support the ideas of near death experiences.
The recorded cases of resurection's don't agree with that idea at all.

What near death experiences are , are either distortions on reality in a dream like state of unconsciousness or , a coping factor.

Scientists are now able to replicate these sorts of thought with VR and direct brain stimulus.

No mystery , no afterlife . just weird stuff going in our brain.

i believe that it is nothing more that random neurons firing randomly as your goes through oxygen deprivation. the same thing happens to people that are in a environment that is lacking in a decent amount of O2.
