A sandwich wrap with smoked gouda cheese, mayo, mustard, turkey, bacon bits, and ham. TOTAL room temperature meal. Yes, it is meat and cheese, but it's GOOD meat and GOOD cheese. And GOOD mayo and GOOD mustard.

Any kind of jerky is good for protein, also some salted peanuts or other nuts, pretzels, or crackers and cheese. If you don't mind canned stuff they have little canned meats that are okay. If you want a sandwich, make one with butter or mustard instead of mayo and pack it one of the thermos lunch bags with ice in the bottom to keep it cold.

Invest in a good quality lunch tote; freeze a drink container full of your favorite fruit or veg juice overnight; invest in a square sandwich container for your sandwich: it will not get soggy in a tupperware box or similar container; carry a small squeeze bottle with your favorite spread or save condiment packs from the take-out places to put in your lunch; hardcooked eggs in their shells will not get soggy; individually wrapped cheese slices keep nicely in your lunch tote; one of my family's favorites is a container of egg salad and crackers to spread it on at lunch time; you can also make a ham salad (or buy it at the deli) to spread on your bread or crackers at lunch time.

i did a acation in arizona this srping and we took a whole bunch of food so we didnt have to buy fast food and save money too.. we spent a lot of time on the road and at rest stops here are some things we had:
trial mix with nuts and raisins and such
snac foods like snack cakes, crackers, etc
canned foods like ravioli, spaghettios and they had the ring pull tops- i personally like those things right outta the can!
also some of those small microwave canned meals like mac n cheese, beef stew, ravioli, etc... can eat them outta the can.. nto the best but not too bad
meat sticks like slim jims
pull top cans of baked beans
meat in pouches like they make tuna in but you can get chicken at some stores and eat it right outta the pouch
you can get mini chicken salad kits that ocme with chicken salad prepared and crackers with a lil spoon to spread it on crackers
chese and cracker or cheese and peanut butter little crakcer sandwiches they sell them in a pack of 6 crackers usually
and of course fruit , crakcers, etc... they always come in handy
what about protien bars? they arent very filling though

1. Pack the bread separately
2. Put your meat(s) into small plastic boxes, and place them in your lunch box with an ice pack.
3. Put small jars of condiments like mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise in your lunch box.
4. Wrap greens, pickles, and cheese(s) each separately
5. Assemble on site!
Enjoy

You could try health shakes, like Ensure. Just pick a cold one up at a gas station or take with you in a cooler or thermos, then eat some fruit too. You will get all your vitamins and minerals and have energy to keep working, and it wont stuff you too much.

I actually have a similar problem due to my classes. I just end up eating chips or something like that. Not exactly healthy, but I can't think of anything else that doesn't have to be kept cold.
