Here is a good description of roundworms in cats and kittens along with a list of active ingredients that can take care of the problem.

"If a cat or kitten vomits up a worm, there is a good chance this is a roundworm (especially in a kitten). Roundworms are long, white and described as looking like spaghetti. Tapeworms can also be vomited up but these are flat and obviously segmented. "

I'm not sure whether to bring the kittens to the vet or not. I do know that you should not touch the kittens until they are at least four or five days old, and when you do only do it when the mother is around and for about 10-15 minutes at a time. Some mother cats wont mind these brief socializations, but some are very protective and prefer you not to, so a lot of it depends on the mother as well. Also, don't let small children or other animals around the kittens until they are at least five weeks old, at least. Also don't leave them unsupervised with children or other animals.

Don't you think you should be asking your vet this question?? Are you really going to take the advice of faceless strangers who are not vets? Please get that poor cat AND her kittens to the vet. And do something about the flea problem in your home - which is where the tapeworm larva that has grown into a tapeworm came from. And please - get that cat spayed. There's far too many kittens and cats at shelters for home breeding.

She'll need proper medication, because without it, she'll become malnourished, and will not be able to properly care for her new kittens. The vet will probably give you medication for the kittens, also, when they're old enough.

Best thing to do, is to ask the vet if it is safe.

Are you sure it was tape and not a round worm. Explain what it look like to the vet. He/she will decide what is best to treat the cat and kittens that will be infected too. Do not use over the counter meds as they do not work.

Take them all to the vet....If the momma has tape worms the babies do to. They will be past threw her milk. I got a kitten at 4 weeks and she had got them from her mother. I'm surprised the mother cat didn't throw them up before now.

She needs to go to the vet to be spayed. There are too many strays and unwanted animals on this earth. A responsible pet owner would do the right thing!

You don't need to take her to the vet, away from the kittens, since they are so young they need the mom. Go to the vet yourself and ask for a de-wormer appropriate for her age and gestation. Then go back home and give it to her.
