If you have the appropriate type of coverage, your insurance will pay. You may be better off handling it yourself. You may find that the damage is less than your deductible anyway, so you will have to pay it yourself even if you do report it.
Weigh out the worth of getting it paid for by the insurance company versus the possible increase in your premiums that will probably be the result.
It is probably best to deal with this one on your own.

If you have collision coverage, yes, but minus your deductible amount if any. This will be considered your fault. If you had to hit a curb to avoid hitting a car, you were following too closely, which makes it your fault. If you had control of your car you wouldn't have done that.

Yes, it should be covered although some companies consider it a collision claim as it was avoidable in their perception versus unavoidable like a tree falling on your car which would be a comprehensive claim---may have different deductibles.

All I can tell you is to call the insurance company and see what they say. If you file a claim, your rates may increase, especially if you are young and under 26. Your deductible may also apply. So consider the damage done and decide if you want to report it or not. good luck.

if you have full coverage, yes they will. But they might raise your rates. However, no matter what the damage/cost to you is, you were smart in avoiding an accident. Much better to hit something than someone.
Good luck and be safe!

Look at your policy and see if you have collision/comprehensive coverage to cover your car. There will probably be a deductible you have to pay. If the repairs to your car are less than your deductible, you will have to pay for all of the repairs yourself.

it would be nice to know what you are trying to cover, the curb or something on your car? Might be cheaper to replace an item yourself and not claim it

if you have full coverage - minus the deductable of course - if your deductable is $500 and you can get it fixed for less than that ( or what ever your dedutable is ) - dont even report it - just get it fixed - in the long run it will save you money -
