Use to when they showed the rpm guages and you could hear the engines run you could tell if the cars had a strong engine by the way it sounded. Also you could tell if the engines were about to blow by the way they sounded. Since the change in tv coverage it's been hard to tell exactly how well the engines are running during the race.

I think when FOX covers the race, you see and hear it more often. Coverage by these other stations leaves a lot to be desired..
