Sorry If I spelt Mormen? Morman? Wrong, I enever know which letter it is, I always forget. But you guys DO know that a few guys got togther and took the peices of the bible that THEY liked and added their own stuff.....So technically yours is a made up religion...In a sense. SOME of it is okay, ut how can you have so much faith in something that is PROVEN to be mostly made up.
Catholic, Why do you worship "Mother Mary" she wasn't a virgin her WHOLE life! And nowhere in the bible does it say you have to pray through some child molesting preist.
Jewish. You guys actually aren't that bad. I know you get made fun of a lot, and I am sorry. That sucks. But why dont you believe Jesus was the son of God? Jesus was just a disiphle...who happened to bring people back from the dead?? Uh-huuuuh.
Answers? My Questions are:
Do the mormens know their's is mostly made up?
Why do catholics pray to "false idols"?
And why dont jews believe jesus was the son of god?
Get mad, but I just was to no?

Truth hurts, doesn't it. If they would just investigate your allegations, they would find that they are so true.

You really need to do a little basic reading. The Catholic Church didn't "take pieces of the Bible", because there was no Bible to take pieces of until the Catholic Church compiled it! The Catholic Church used the Holy Bible for 1,200 years before the founder of manmade denominational religion was born. And he is the one who trashed the parts of the Word of God that he didn't care for. Catholics do not worship Mother Mary. That would be idolatry, and all forms of idolatry are absolutely condemned and forbidden by the Catholic Church.

Yes, Mary was a virgin her whole life. She was a consecrated virgin, as were many other young Jewish girls of the time, and was betrothed to a much older man, as was also the common practice of the time. This is binding teaching by God's Church, and if you read your Bible you would know that binding teaching by God's Church is bound in heaven, that is, it carries a divine guarantee of truth.

You are right - Nowhere in the Bible does it say you have to "pray through a priest" (whatever that means). And nowhere in Catholicism does it say any such thing either. Where are you getting these absurd notions?

One other question - How do you justify being a member of a manmade tradition of thousands of unauthorized, conflicting denominations teaching partial truth, in direct violation of the stated will of God, "that they all may be ONE"? (That's in the Bible - you know, that collection of early Jewish and Catholic writings that you try so desperately and so ineffectively to self-interpret.)

Take a good hard look at your own beliefs. How do you know that they aren't "made up"?

Here's something interesting:
ALL religions are made up, at least in part. A group of people got together, chose the parts of their religious writings that they liked, and decided what they would keep and what they would toss. This is the very DEFINITION of organized religion... following a group of people that have CHOSEN to believe what you like to think (or "believe") is true.

You should also take a REAL look at the religions you are trying to belittle. If you actually learn a bit about the religions, you may find that they are not all that different from your own. Most religions in this day and time are more similar than people like to admit. Perhaps if you took a few minutes away from your ranting and hate-spreading, you would be able to see that.

The Mormons have scriptures to back up what the believe.
They are old scriptures like the Gnostic had and they passed them down and made a book out of them. The a man decided that all the religions seemed too confusing to him so he created his own by using the scriptures he found.
The Catholics don't pray to false gods. The pray to saints and Mother Mary and Angels not as they are gods but as Intercessors for them to help get their message to God the father and for protection.
Jews don't believe that their Messiah has come yet. One of the passages in Psalms says that Israel is the begotten son of God. They only believe like the Muslims that Jesus was a messenger or a prophet.

Christianity came from Judaism, basically.

There Christianity with the Pope. Then when the capitol of the Roman empire moved to Constantinople, an eastern Partiarch was selected to run the religion in the east.

The Patricarch believed in the use of icons, and using the common language (Greek) in the sermons or whatever.

The Pope discouraged the use of icons, and sued Latin in the sermons.

The Pope and Patriarch excommunicated one another, and the Pope and the western religion became Catholicism, and the Patriarch and the east became Orthodoxy.

Both pretty much took what they wanted from the Bible, but Catholic was pretty much the first denomination. And Judaism came before Christianity, and Christianity took things from the Jews.

But basically, every religion picks things apart for their own purpose.

Jews don't believe that jesus was the son of G-d because it is completely against our beliefs! How the fricking hell is G-d supposed to have a son?! Might as well call the rest of us the same, because he was nothing special. He was supposed to be the messiah as so many people claim, when he broke all of the laws in that section (being the messiah)...

So I guess the real question is, Why SHOULD Jews believe that jesus was the son of G-d?! It's barbaric, and it's stupid (no offense to Christians and all else).

Catholics do NOT pray to false idols and we do NOT worship Mary! We have a great respect for her because she was the mother of the savior and yes she was a virgin when she concieved him. Catholics do Not worship staues they are there to rimind us of how we should try to be like they are know different from a photograph. And we don't worship Saints eather we ask them to pray for us like we would ask anyone here on earth. They are already in heaven so they are able to pray better than someone still stuck on earth. But I guess you would have to be Catholic to understand all of this.

You are obviously struggling with your own beliefs.

The Mormons are a kind gentle hard working people with very strong beliefs.
Without the womb of Mary, Jesus would have not lived.
Being that Jesus was a Jew (no offense) they can believe whatever they wish.

I pray to God, Love Jesus, believe Jesus was Married and had children, I spend time with the Buddha and Practice with the Native Americans.

Jesus told us that all HE has done we also can do.
You just have to B.E.L.E.I.V.E.

Mormons (with an 'O' you dolt!) actually added The Book of Mormon to their holy text. While updating some doctrine to accommodate a newer testament, they did not take anything out of the Bible.

Judaism has the complete Tanach (That's a big-person's word for the Old Testament). To them the Messiah has not come yet, and so the New Testament isn't and never was God-inspired scripture to them in the first place.

I hate to break this to you, but Catholics never took anything out of the Bible. In fact, the Protestants actually took seven books and parts of four others out of the Bible when they broke away. So you are actually the one who removed part of the Bible, if you actually research your facts.

Jews don't follow christianity, since 'Jesus' didn't fulfill the messanic prophesies. To be a messiah, one was supposed to be a 'king of kings' and rebuild the temple. Two things 'Jesus' didn't do.

Christians like to claim that 'Jesus' will do them at the time of the second coming, but until all is fulfilled, there is no messiah at least to the jews.

Secondly on Jews, they cannot follow christianity since pretty much every tenent of Christianity is listed in the scriptures as an abomination to god. Human sacrifice as a sin offering, offering up such sacrifice upon a High Place-like Mt. Calvary, communion-the eating of flesh and blood, even converting people were all 'bad things' to do.

Catholics don't view their precepts as idols, which is how they think they can do the things that they do do.
325CE Council of Nice Promotion of the Goodman: Christ is Divine

363CE Council of Laodicea names 26 New Testament books as "inspired word of God"; Book of Revelation is excluded.

364CE Council of Laodicea ordered that religious observances were to be conducted on Sunday, not Saturday.

381CE First Council of Constantinople drew up a dogmatic statement on the Trinity and defined Holy Spirit as having the same divinity expressed for the Son by the Council of Nicea 56 years earlier.

418CE African Bishop Alypius offers bribe of 80 Numidian stallions for church to accept Augustine's doctrine of original sin into its teachings.

The 'mother mary' thing came in to the philosophy to convert many of the european pagani traditions at the time that were into 'goddess worship'.

The morman are into this whole '13 tribe of Israel' thing.

Religion when its all boiled down, just becomes taking another person's opinions as your own...define things THIS way, look at things THAT way, and if you don't ahere to OUR definitons of reality you are going to 'roast in hell'.

One should note that religions are always a BAD thing, nor are they always a good thing. Truth is in what a person DOES with them. Religions have been used to free people, but also enslave them. Religions have been used to give comfort to the diseased or dying, but its also been used to kill people. Religions have inspired works of beauty, but its also been used to destroy it.
