It *IS* legal. Polygamous MARRIAGE, though... that may take a while.

All of marriage law will have to be rewritten. I mean, how are the possessions split up if one or more participants leaves the arrangement? And what if one person wants to divorce only certain individuals but stay married to others still involved in the original contract? And would this be one man + many women, or would this involve multiple men + multiple women, or simply multiple members of the same sex? And what if 7 women are married to one man and he leaves the arrangement? Are those 7 women still legally married to each other or did the contract only bind them to the man and not each other? And don't even get me started on property ownership, tax breaks or custody arrangements.

There are a lot of concerns which would need to be addressed.

I dunno...I think all laws against marriage are unconstitutional...I think gays should have civil unions, polygamy should be allowed(only if you can support your wives OR husbands) that if a man is in love with a sheep he can marry it...what other kinds of marriage are there?

Anyway, I also think that you have to be atleast 16 to be married, but you can be married younger if you have parent consent...my aunt got married to my uncle when she was 14 and they had 6 kids and they're still happily married today...so it can work.

LOL. Never in the USA. People act stupid enough with the whole jealousy thing without being married. Just imagine how many wives will have committed homicide because one wife is getting more from the husband.

Why would you want to? What would divorce be like?? It's complicated enough with just one spouse. When there are more than one spouses involved surely it can get ugly.

p.s. if mice is the plural of mouse, why isn't spice the plural of spouse"

Once gay marriage is made completely legal, it'll only be a matter of one case making it to the US Supreme Court and multi-partner marriages will be legal too.

It is in a "religious" loophole way, it already is.

But, in general, it very well could be; especially if gay marriage is legalized. After all which is more "Natural", Plural marriage has around in world culture and history much longer then gay marriage.

Hilary and obama will legalize everything. You will have the freedom to be vulgar and disgusting and everyone will think its ok because we've already been desensitized to immorality on tv and in society. Thanks to the godless liberals.

As another poster noted, it's already legal.
