I'm not christian. And no, that does not mean I am a Atheist, Heathen, satanist, or any other name christians call non-christians.
What is it with some christians. Why do they love to judge people like me who are not christian.
Why can't they leave the judgement up to god?
Are they pretending to play god?

wolfeblayde, you make a good point. Although do you realize you said "what we "believe" to be the truth" Why would you spread what you believe to be true. Why not spread truth itself.

warrior peasant, I believe christians created "hell"....it doesn't exist in my world. So yes, you can leave me alone. Why is what you believe to be "true", the truth? why isn't what i believe to be "true", considered for the real truth. That is disrespect...narrowmindedness on your part anyway you look at it

does it surprise you that non-christians think your beliefs are hogwash only because you have the arrogance to disrespect there beliefs?

SL, I am NOT a sinner....maybe with your beliefs, but not mine. I live by values, that maybe you could learn something from. You say its ok for christians to judge and since i have been judged, why isn't it ok for me to judge christians(like i am doing now) when i see something they do as immoral.

Larry R, Your analogy has a major inconsistency. we KNOW that people who have had a few beers are in DANGER. In contrast, saying i'm in danger of hell is narrow mindedness and has nothing to do with fact. They are beliefs..."believed" to be true

Most of the judgmental Christians that I know are immature in their faith. This doesn't necessarily mean that they are physically young nor that they are new to the faith. (though it can) It means that they need to grow up in their faith. I run a street ministry where most of or clients are alcoholics, drug addicts, prostitutes, homeless, or mentally challenged. We feed them, clothe them, talk with them, offer to pray with them, laugh with them, and cry with them, all without judgment or trying to shove Jesus down their throats. We present rather than push the Gospel. These are the people that the rest of the world judges, shuns and generally tries to sweep under the carpet. Our Lord has called us to love them. Trust me I would never judge you. Not my job.

That depends on what you mean by judgment. If you think that a Christian is condeming you simply because we share our religious beliefs with you, then I think you've stretched the definition of "judgment" to the breaking point. Most of the Christians that I know are very happy people who love God and want to share the Good News of salvation through Christ with others. That's not judging someone else -- that's just bearing witness to what we believe is the truth. If you don't want to hear what I have to say, then fine -- I'll shut up about it.
But if you mean that Christians are condemning you and tell you that you're a bad, evil person just because you aren't a believer in Christ, then yes, that is being judgmental. No one has the right to attack you on a personal level for your belief system.
Edit:
I used the word "believe" to indicate that there are others who have different belief systems. I can't give empirical evidence to prove that what I believe is true, so I can't say with absolute certainty that it's a fact.
Perhaps that's the reason that I try to be a little bit more open-minded and tolerant of other people's beliefs.

That is a VERY good question!!
You are right, some Christians, even though they are told not to do so, judge other people. That is not our job, that is God's job.
But to be fair, non-Christians often misuse the word "judge" when they accuse Christians of "judging" them too.
Gods laws aren't easy, they are never popular ,they are normally difficult to follow, but they are, for the most part, pretty darn clear.
Just because someone warns you that you are doing something that violates Gods laws, that doesn't mean they are "judging" you. That means they are WARNING you.
For example, lets say you are at a party, and you drink a few beers, then a few more, then a few more than you should. When your friend says "Hey, I don't think you should be driving home, you've had a few too many" they aren't acting as your Judge. They are informing you of the fact that you are in danger, a danger you probably aren't even aware of. If your friend tries to hide your car keys, he's not judging you, he's trying to save you... trying to keep you from doing something that you will later regret. When the friendly State Trooper pulls you over and says "I need to see your liscence and registration..." and asks "have you been drinking tonight sir?" He's not judging you either... he is just enforcing the law. The person who Judges you is the one who says "I find you guilty of DWI and hereby sentence you to 90 days imprisonment and a $1,500 fine".
So cut the Christians a break. WARNING is not the same thing as JUDGING. Christians are totally aware that we will ALL be judged by God some day. Odds are they are just trying to make sure you are aware of it, and prepared for it, too.

From a christian perspective: If they are Judging you...they are not really a christian. Some people are Christians in name only & when they judge others, they feel better about themselves, because they aren't "as bad" as the ones they Judged. There is a fine line though, and some people might just care about you and come across wrong. Remember this, if there were no real dollar bills, there would be no counterfeits, thus implying that since there are conterfeits there are real dollar bills..apply this to Christians, and then think about it next time someone professes Christianity but doesn't act like Christ!

This is to help on both sides.
When it comes to the verses that say, "judge not, lest ye be judged' it's saying that if you have sin in your life, you better keep your mouth shut about someone elses, lest the finger get directed toward you.
Christians misunderstand this, in that they think they are not to judge. That's not the case at all. As an example: I'm not a prostitute and never have been. I can say a person is a prostitute, if indeed she is, and I can do so with a clear conscience. It doesn't mean I have to turn away and pretend it isn't so for fear of a finger pointed at me. Let the finger point.
When it `comes to a husband and father, as the protector over the household, he better be judging before he lets a known pedofile into his home.
As for passing judgement on a non-believer just because he/she doesn't believe, it's a waste of good time. We are not to dwell on those who refuse the good message. We are to go on to others who will receive.
Nowhere in the Bible, does it say for us to judge others just because they don't belong to our family. The only purpose for judgement is to protect our own homes and our Christian family or to know when to shake the dust off our feet.
Aside from that, the spiritual condition of another is not for us to admonish. We are to set an example, let our light shine, profess the word of God,spread the gospel. But we are still not to share the gospel where it is not wanted. That's called casting pearls before swine.

Christians (at least the fruity ones) tend to believe that they are better than God. They must since they not only judge us but in judging us they are basically saying that God screwed up. Now I am not a religious person. I believe in God just not religion. In saying this I don't think I would have big enough balls to go around saying God screwed up when he created homosexuals and other religions besides Christianity like some of these radical Christians do. Call me chicken if you will but no one really knows whats going to happen so why would you want to push your luck.

Hi. I am amazed by some of these answers from Christians .It makes me feel ashamed to be one sometimes. The problem with some Christians is they feel they have to convert all non Christians so they will be "saved".But not everyone wants to be "saved'.So they keep trying.I am a Christian but i don't force my beliefs onto anyone.and i definitely don't judge anyone.I don't even read the Bible, because there are over 50 versions in English alone and i haven't got time to read them all to find out which one is correct.!

I don't know what anyone claiming to be a Christian has ever said to you. I am an evangelical Christian, which I have been for a little over three years now. I realize what a good gift that God has given to me, salvation. God loved me enough to forgive me, though I had to hear the hard truth before I believed. I witness my faith actively, but I do it by asking questions. I don't judge, but the questions I ask lead the other person to judge themselves. They don't even have to answer out loud to me, because your right it is not between me and them, it is between them and God. God just uses me as a messenger. And I am sure that many, would judge me judgmental as a means to escape the truth that they want to run from, that we are all sinners, deserving of Gods wrath.

If you're not a Christian, nor an Atheists...then yes, you are a heathen...
Heathen as defined by dictionary.com...an unconverted individual of a people that do not acknowledge the God of the Bible; a person who is neither a Jew, Christian, nor Muslim; pagan.
So if you're not Atheist that means you must believe in something(unless you're agnostic) and besides being a Christian or Mono-theist(aka pagan) than yes...you ARE a heathen...
Anyway, unless you judge them about their religion first, like you're doing here, then they have no right to judge you and tell them that. "Judge not lest you be judged" and if they don't shut up, call then fake Christians and throw holy water on them and watch them melt!(jk...)
Anyway, Judgment of whether you're getting into Heaven or not is up to Jesus...not God...so you have it wrong anyway.

We cannot judge anyone. What we christians do is love you enough to pass on God's Word so that you will understand His Word and then make your own choices from there. We just want you to know what God has to say in case you have not read His Word for yourself. How would you feel if someone made a wrong choice out of ignorance and that you could have spared them that choice IF you would have informed them? It would be easier for us just to be content in our own salvation and not care about others who are misled, do not know, etc, but out of our love for others, we cannot be silent. God bless you.
