I can't quote yo a verse, but I can tell you that I believe all will is Gods will and that which don't kill you only makes you stronger, this world may suck from time to time, but you gotta have faith, I guess the best verse I could think of is,"The kingdom of heaven is within." To me it means, you can't control a situation, all you can do is control how you react to it, and if you let it get you down then it's gonna keep you down, so you have to keep moving forward. good luck, chin up.

Rephrase the question... it almost sounds like you want one with the expressed purpose of depressing yourself.

The last five or so chapters of Job are a great uplift, actually. God finally answers Job's week-long rant, but not with the answer Job expects. It helps put humanity in perspective. And it's long, so you'll get to experience it for a while, as opposed to one verse that's over in a few seconds.

Read the book of Philippians.

"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you." Philippians 4:6-9

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Philippians 4:13

I remember a great man of God who was afflicted by depression in his early years as a Christian. After seeking God, God illuminated a passage from Isaiah 61:3 which reads in the KJV: "to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion , to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness...."
At this point God showed him that what was troubling him was not his own mind, but it was the influence of a spirit that held him in depression. He said at this point he was about 80% on his way to being free. Then the Lord showed him Joel 2:32 which reads: "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be delivered." He simply stood in faith upon this passage and in prayer called upon the Lord Jesus to deliver him, at which point the spirit left him. Nevertheless there remained for him the work of vigilance in renewing his mind, casting off pessimism and a gloomy mindset, and retraining himself by the Word of God to take upon himself hope and optimism based on the encouragement of the Scriptures. He learned how to take upon himself the "helmet (which is the hope of) salvation". (see Ephesians 6:17 and I Thessalonians 5:8)

Psalm 121
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.
The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

I have been out of job for 7 months. My money is running out. I am a single 56 year old. I don't want to get out of bed most mornings. I am so depressed and sometimes don't care if I live or die. Please pray for me.
