If it wasn't for interest, I wouldn't have my TV, my car, my condo.

I am really thankful that I get to pay somebody my hard earned money for the neccessities of life. (well, tv not a necessity).

It's not like I want to save that earned money or something.

It's difficult to tell whether you are serious or sarcastic. But credit is definitely of the devil. People buy things they dont need and cannot afford and pay twice as much in the long run. The Bible tells us to be content with what we have and to be good money managers.

There are at least a dozen verses but here is two of them:

Rom 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

Hbr 13:5 [Let your] conversation [be] without covetousness; [and be] content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

ok: Well; interest - or the concept thereof, can be attributed to good ol' fashioned GREED. Interest is the opportunist's chance at getting much more back than expended - for nothing - on the backs of the borrowers !
