Very mixed area. There are a one or two roads with large detached house, but the majority is either Victoria Terraces converted to flats or 1920's semi's.
There are frequent trains to Liverpool Street, which is just as well as car parking is a nightmare.
The shopping centre is large, but it is many years since I wandered around it.
There are several night clubs which have a mixed reputation.
If you want to live around there, I would look in the Gant's Hill or Seven Kings area.
