If you have some unflavored oatmeal that would be best. The granola, seasoned croutons cheese crackers all have flavoring and spices that he should not have. Plain crackers is ok. Plain bread, preferably wheat or grain bread is better.toast it first, then tear it up for him. They also like bird seed. Unsalted nuts, apples, Just make sure what ever you give him is unseasoned. Cheerios is good. or rice crispies. All of this will work but you will need to get him mouse food at the pet shop asap.

You can give your little guy a bit of bread, preferably whole grain, & he'd probably enjoy a tiny bit of granola (not to much as it's high in fat & sugar). Maybe a small piece of a Nature Valley bar (probably also high in sugar & fat). Crackers are ok, especially if they're whole grain. If you have Cheerios he'll probably love those (or any other healthy, low-sugar cereal). He might like an uncooked noodle or 2.
Please don't give him cheese, dairy is really not good for rodents. I almost suggested that you give him whatever he'll eat since it's just for tonight, but there would be the possibility that something might upset his tummy or taste *so* good that he doesn't want anything else tomorrow.
We give our mice & rats a bit of vegetarian dog food mixed with whole grain cereals (puffed, baked or cooked), occasional sunflower seeds, whole grain bread & crackers when we have them, dog biscuits to gnaw on, small amounts of fruit & veggies a few times a week & bits of whatever we're eating as long as it's not bad for them. I stopped buying packaged mouse/rat food b/c there are often artificial colors, preservatives & other things our little ones are better off without & they were wasting most of the pellets & anything else that didn't appeal to them.

Feeding
Mice should be fed on a basic diet of whole or rolled oats, with a little hamster food and budgerigar seed given very occasionally for variety. Feed bread, preferably wholemeal, daily (soaked in water and squeezed out). Dog biscuits are good for their teeth.
You should always have water available, and nursing mothers will appreciate milk.
In the summer they love the yellow Dandelion heads, and also seeding grass, but don't overdo this. They also nibble a little carrot and mice are also partial to boiled rice (remains of the Chinese takeaway) and pasta. Mice are basically omnivorous, but it is a myth that they love cheese. It doesn't do them any good and is only used in mousetraps because it smells strongly and has a good texture for putting on the little spike.
House-mice will, of course, eat anything (which is why they are such a pest).

I too substitute right into a feeder mouse proprietor. We bred and fed stay mice to snakes on the environmental training center I worked at. It substitute right into a large puppy. you will choose for a mouse cage or aquarium with a exhibit screen lid that suits tight, pine clutter (stay faraway from Cedar-it may reason respiration issues) an exercising wheel, water bottle, nutrients dish, mouse nutrients (we had rodent pellets), secure wood to gnaw on, and plans for in case you have a male/lady pair and finally end up with babies. verify they're wiped sparkling in many situations 2-thrice a week. they are in a position to get pungent rather speedy. have relaxing!
