They're two very different things but mathematics is essential to the scientific study of global warming.
Many of the calculations that are required and the logical applications needed for analytical and modelling processes require the skills of advanced mathematicians.

You can use intuition. You can prove anything with intuition. You don't need mathimatics. It is only that we use too much rational mind that someone says it is not correct until he sees the formula on a piece of paper.
