It is very light and very rigid and can be configured to accomidate many drivetrain set-ups ranging from 4 cyl drifter set up all the way up to 1000 hp drag set-ups its called a "fox" body because it was designed in foxborough michigan.

Nothing really, except that a lot of them were produced with 5.0 liter engines. That engine is easy to build up and there are a lot of aftermarket goodies for it. Also there were a lot of Fox body Mustangs built and can still be found in reasonably good condition. Therefore, they make a pretty good project car.

That just refers to the chassis configuration they started using in 1979. Just so when you say something fits a fox body mustang, you know which kind of mustang you're talking about.
They continued using it to 2004, but it was very heavily revised by that point.

Lightweight, and it was the legendary 5.0 motor. Really not much when compared to its competition, but it is easily modifiable and very light. They have a cult like following because they were produced for so many years, and the torque was really something back when it was produced.
