When I pulled the tab up to open the can, the loop bent and came off. The can is still closed and completely intact only the tab is missing.

take the back of a fork and shove it in wehre the tab goes it...it shall work like a charm

This happened to me the other day, so I used a manual can opener, removed the entire top of the can, and poured the beverage into a glass.

Push down on it with the handle of a spoon or put a paper towel over the hole first and press with your thumb. The towel will help prevent you from getting cut and stop any soda from splashing out.

use a flat metal end like a spoon end or a flat screwdriver....and press really hard on the area where the can hole is suppose to open....with enough force, it should be able to open

A church key (can punch) will work. This must be a phenomenon peculiar to pop cans, because I never have any trouble with soda cans! :)

Hammer a knife in it, especially along the edges.
