hey nascarl #99............. to have a dry spell, you have to have had a "wet spell", jr. never really has.

Someone said he was the son of a legend, which he is, but so is Kyle Petty.

He's the son of a legend, so it isn't going to happen. He may be the SON of a legend, but he's not Dale Sr. He doesn't always race like Dale Sr. He doesn't win like him either. That doesn't make him any less of a person, or a bad driver. He's good at what he does, and he's just going through a bad time right now. He's got a lot on his shoulders, and I'm sure it's interfering with his racing. Dale Sr. went through a dry spell too...and look what he did with his career. Give him time. He's good, and he'll get there. In the meantime, people are going to talk about him. Unless he changes his name, there's no way around that.

I have never understood all the hoopla surrounding Jr , he doesn't finish in the top 10 every week like someone on here said, if he did he'd be in the chase,,,,,HMMMM dont take a rocket scentist to figure that one out and he is far from being a great driver, his teammate truex made the chase, so if Jr is great what does that say for the 12 people that actually have a shot at winning the title they must be like Gods or something huh, maybe now that he's not in the chase we can focus on the championship rather than Dale Jr.
Dale Sr was great but his son has a long way to go yet, a busch series title doesnt qualify one for greatness status.
I wish he would have made it in though so after Tony Stewart wins his ----THIRD -----cup title he would have beaten the driver with the most popular name in nascar. Maybe next year he can ride Gordon and Johnson's coat tail into the chase. until then i guess all you Jr fanatics will have to just have to enjoy watching Stewart win the cup again. LOL LOL LOL LMAO.......

I think it's actually 59 races. Hope he goes winless the rest of this season and then next season too. And Kyle Busch wins the championship driving a Gibbs Toyota! :^)

Unfortunately, they'll never shut up about him. He's the son of a legend so, regardless of whether he is actually good or not, they'll brag about him from here on out. They should realize that 42 other drivers are on the track, though.
