Have you ever met anyone who fits this description?
How do you get them to shut up without being offensive?

Imagine being stuck in an office for 9 hours a day with only one other person and he/she never talks.
I am the guy that vocalizes those empty thoughts. For two days straight I made it a point to not start a conversation at all and for those two days neither of us spoke a word.
Someone who rambles on senselessly is a retard. Someone who does it occasionally may just need some interaction.

No they do not.
I have met people like this and try to help them by giving rational responses. but there are just some people who will never think things through before speaking.

My daughter (12) has this problem. I just try to keep reminding her that it would be a good idea to THINK before she speaks.
It hasn't worked, yet.

in answers.....i block them......and go on with life.
in the world....i don't hang around people i don't want to hear from. don't talk to them if you don't have to.
ear plugs.....i-pod.....daydream while the talk and tune them out. Lmaooooo....this is a hard one!! :)
