It is the person to your right. If a person gets to the stop first, then he goes first. If someone jumps out of turn, then just consider them an idiot and let it go. The saying is, "It's better to be wrong, than DEAD right." So even if you are right, and someone jumps, write it off and don't worry about it. Just be safe.
good luck.

If you come to a stop sign at the same time, the car on the right has the right of way to go first. That is in all states.

Those telling you anything different that "The person to your right has the right of way" is wrong. That is the rule, in FL and all the other states also. First to stop is the first to go, if you arrive about the same time, the one to your right goes.

left turners have to yeild unless they have a green arrow. cars facing each other at a stop sign, the left turner has to yeild. he who gets to the stop sign first gets the right of way, but if u are north bound, and the opposing driver is heading east, if u both get there at the same time, to him, u are the 'car to the right', and have the right of way....unless u decide to let him go first. my mantra is.....when in doubt, give way. some intersections can get very confusing to a rookie driver.

first to the stop sign, first through.
Unless of course you arrive at the same time (tie goes to the runner)
Common sense says if you arrive at the same time, and one is turning ,the one who is going straight through should go first because this facilitates traffic movement, but in reality 90% of drivers on the road today are ignimint meatballs and would not realize anything I have just typed because they are too busy reading the newspaper, watching a DVD,eating, talking on the phone,.....basically anything but paying attention to the road.....beware-you may have the right of way, but that SUV that ain't stopping could have your number

The other right of way situation is driving along a four or more lane highway and you are in the right lane and another car is in the lane on your left and passing you, as soon as their front bumper passes your rear bumper they have right of way over you and you MUST yeild to them slowing if necessary to allow them to pass.
