grains and legumes provide the highest amounts of fiber per serving. foods like lentils, beans, whole oats are all low GI and high fiber. these are the types of foods where the majority of the carbohydrate intake is to be derived from, not from processed grains.

oats/oatbran
nuts
barley
flax seeds
oranges, apples, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries
carrots
broccoli
peas
potatoes(with the skin left on)
grapefruits, nectarines, and apricots
beans (any dried legumes)
