Peanut butter is actually EXTREMELY good for you. The only problem with it is that it's high in calories, so if you are trying to lose weight, you're going to have a pretty hard time doing so if you're eating a lot of it (that said, "a couple of tablespoons" (meaning 2) is a standard serving size for PB and that's a healthy amount to eat even on a diet).

Peanut butter, especially the organic kind, is loaded with "good fats" that can help lower your cholesterol and keep your heart healthy. Watch out for cheap kinds at the grocery store, however, which may contain "trans fats" which are extremely bad for you (as well as lots of sugar, which is not necessarily BAD for you, but is totally unnecessary).

All in all, it's not a bad food to be addicted to. But if you're worried you are eating it too often, don't let yourself buy any for a while and see if you can kick the habit simply by making it really hard to get any for a few weeks.

Peanut Butter is an excellent source of protein. I see nothing wrong with you eating peanut butter everyday as long as you are a healthy weight.

As the tried but very true saying goes, "Too much of a good thing can be bad", as well may be your "addiction" to peanut butter. I'm not aware of any peanut butter addict support groups anywhere in America or the world, so this might be your opportunity knocking to address this issue--if it's even that big of one.

There are far worse things one can be addicted to---and I don't have to name them all--so, I feel you might need to enjoy your peanut butter with a sensible degree of MODERATION. This, of course, calls for a greater measure of common sense and discipline.

Call it a hunch---but I believe in you and that you can do this.

Peanut butter isn't necessarily bad for you. It has protein in it, so that is a plus. It does have a decent amount of fat in it though. You may want to check into what kinds of fat are in the kind you are eating and factor that into your daily diet. I know I love eating it off a spoon sometimes when nothing else sounds good for a meal, and my mom always wanted me to eat more when I was a vegetarian, so just keep an eye on your fat intake.

Actually depending on your diet that could be a very healthy part of your diet. As long as its a couple of tablespoons and not more than that. The fat in peanut butter is the healthy type of fat, non saturated.

Just make sure peanut butter isn't the ONLY thing you eat! It's healthy and has plenty of protein, but it may slow down your metabolism, because peanuts do.

I like peanut butter. I remember losing a lot of weight when I visited National Parks for 40 days and mainly ate 4 things:

Vegetable soup, turkey sandwiches, cereal, and PB&J sandwiches.
