Because they are bad naughty awful people. Are you serious, because some part of me thought that you were serious. Why do 10 year olds get to ask questions on here. What are you like a die hard christian and think that everything revolves around god killing or blessing people. Grow the hell up, people die, people are born. If god really chose to kill people he would have chosen you first for being the lowest common denominator in a society of uneducated freaks of nature.

Either because he's not benevolent or is not omnipotent. He can't be both. If he was omnipotent, he'd be able to stop the killing of people, and if he was benevolent, then he'd want to do so.
If he's benevolent, how could he allow 6 million of his chosen people to be incinerated by Hitler, or why did he allow Truman to vaporize 200,000 Japanese men, women and children or Stalin to kill 30m Christians? If he was also omnipotent AND benevolent, then these events could not have happened.
If you counter that man's "free will" caused those events to happen, so don't blame God, then can it be said God is not omnipotent AND benevolent, because he allowed man's free will to reign?
And further, the mere existence of evil in the world makes the existence of a benign god impossible: if god were omnipotent, he could eliminate evil and if he were benign, he would want to do so...another way of saying this:
If god is able to prevent evil but is not willing to prevent evil, then he is not benevolent.
If god is willing to prevent evil but is not able to prevent evil, then he is not omnipotent.
Evil is either in occordance with god's intention or contrary to it. Thus, either god cannot prevent evil or he does not want to prevent evil.
THEREFORE, it follows that god is either not omnipotent or he is not benevolent. He cannot be both omnipotent and benevolent.

Don't you mean why does God allow people to be killed ? God gave us free will to do as we please,so He never interferes in our actions, but He would like us to live a certain way.by following the 10 commandments.

What are you talking about? I know of no time in history that God killed people.
Yes, he told people that he would destroy the city if they didn't shape up. Had they listened, they wouldn't have been there to die. Lot and his family got out in time.
Yes, he told people he would flood the world if they didn't shape up. Had they listened, they would have been on the ark with Noah and his family.
He has always warned people, but the people don't listen. So, God doesn't kill people. People have killed themselves when they didn't listen to God.

God DOESNT kill people, and you should never let any thoughts like that cross your mind. Im not sure if youre aware that the devil is among us, and the evil that people do can be blamed solely on him. Everyone has to go sometime, if they had faith in God you can be sure theyre in a better place, away from the evils of this world!

i used to ask my parents this when i was a kid. (they were sunday school teachers way back when) they would tell me that no one knows what Gods plan is and there is a reason that is beyond our world and beyond our understanding. Maybe there is someone that needs them, or there is something that they must do elsewhere (Heaven if you are a believer). I really wish I knew because whenever I hear of a child dying I cant imagine God allowing that to happen and maybe there is no such "God" as I have been hoping for.

God does not kill people. People kill people, God allows people to die. You must remember though that man chose death over Life in the Garden of Eden. We have free-will, and because Christ is the perfect gentleman, He lets us have our way ...but God does punish the sinful.
mesquiteskeetr, you are wrong. God does not approve of the death penalty. The verse you are refering to is in the Old Testament and covered by the New Covenant.

Adam brought sin into the world and death camr through sin. Its a fact, pal. Get over it. EVERYONE who ever lives will also die. Faithful Christians are resurrected unto eternal life. All the rest perish eternally.
Life comes from the Lord. The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. And the LORD SAVES.
Let Him save YOU today.
