Nope, people won't think that. High school dating is 99% of the time pointless and meaningless anyway.

You sound like your safe in your thinking.
While most people have some sort of a relationship in High School, not all do.
Many different factors could cause this.
Too numerous to relate here..
Yeh, maybe some of the idiots would think you're gay but that's just immature nonsense.
Go slow with the college guys too. Date, have a good time, get a little experience. Believe 10% of what the college guys tell you too. All of us are out to get laid at "almost" any cost! or Bullshit.
In the end, we like the ones who have some morals. IE: We go to bed with the easy ones and marry the tough ones.
(The good guys anyway)..Good Luck!
Go slow and don't be pressured.

Yours truly.
I met my first boyfriend in first year college, but we didn't officially become a couple until 3 years later. I went on a couple of dates with other guys, but none of them worked out to an actual relationship. And I love him tons!
It's definitely not weird to be single during high school. There are a lot of reasons to be single, and it's not because you are gay or lesbian. I also have a lot of friends who never had a relationship until they were in college. I think it's for the best to not be in a relationship asap because boyfriends can be pretty distracting and somewhat expensive too (time-wise and money-wise, with all the anniversaries, birthdays, Valentines day etc.) Make sure you are ready because it takes commitment and a lot of work to make it last.
Don't rush into things, enjoy your life as a single. You still have a long life ahead of you.

I don't know if that person is considered gay or a lesbian if they don't date in high school. There can me a chance that the could be. But usually they just havn't found the right person in high school. Or they are to busy with sports/school. I am still in high school so I dont know the answer about the college thing. Hope I helped =]

i am definitely not gay, but have never had a real relationship and i am in my sophomore year at college. it's not weird not to have a relationship throughout high school, even though it feels like you're missing something. and if people start thinking that without any reason, then that's their problem. what matters is you and how you feel. i personally had a blast being single throughout high school!! love waits for the right person...although my waiting may be over soon, it's definitely worth the wait.

My oldest daughter did not date in high school. She was very focused on her studies and was not interested in any of the gentleman that asked her out. She went to her Senior prom with a best friend (he). They had a great time. Some people did make the assumption that she was lesbian. My daughter was voted the most attractive girl in her class and was also the Valedictorian. Since she was very confident in her life, these comments didn't bother her. She started dating in college, and those comments subsided. She said "the gene pool was better in college".

It is not a bad thing not to date in High School because I believe it gave you more time for studies.

Finding a first relationship in college and beyond is better
because you are matured enough to handle dating and responsibilities.

Its not weird. High school is the age when the hormones are raging and everyone loses control of themselves. Keep in control of yourself and concentrate on your studies. Thats priority. Relationship etc can wait till you are more mature. Dont be heart broken at those tender years. Paitence is the key. All good things will come your way. No rush. Its not the end of the world. Dont do something because the rest of your age group are doing it. Be yourself and keep a strong mind.Get your priorities right.

Lots of people don't start dating until after high school. I didn't have a boyfriend until I was 19. I didn't lose my virginity until I was 21. I'm 28 now, and engaged to be married. I'm glad that I proceeded through the dating world at my own pace, instead of pushing myself to do what I thought everyone else was doing.

ME ME ME!! Yup I first dating in college. My mom banned me from dating in high school so I had no choice. It shouldn't matter what people think of you. The best thing to do is not give into peer pressure. High school is stupid anyway, IMO. Its better to have relationships when you are older.
