Not very. Going by the Jewish numerology system Nero was the beast. When you do the math on his full name and birth date it is 666. And the whole world was under sway of one man and you had to use his image to buy or sell.

About 2,000 years ago John the Revelator spoke of a time when people would no longer be able to buy and sell without a mark on their hand or their forehead. This is called the Mark of the Beast. There is now in existence a computer chip that can be embedded in your body and your own body heat will power it. It's about the size of a grain of rice and can be used as a GPS as well as in place of a credit/debit card. Its called the Verichip. For info you can Google it. The idea is to embed the Verichip into the body so that you don't have to carry a credit card, and it supposedly can't be copied. If anyone tries to remove it, a GPS alarm goes off. If it is punctured the liquid inside is deadly (I guess to the person in whom it is embedded). They spent over $1 & 1/2 million to figure out what John said in Revelations - the best place for it to be embedded is in the right hand or the forehead.
How close are we to the Mark of the Beast? It looks like it is VERY close to me.

I'm not sure, I mean there are things that have to happen before and they haven't happened yet, and so ya know in the Bible if someone claimed to be a prophet and was wrong they killed him, so I can't say.

We don't know when the end is going to be, and the coming of the beast, and the implementation of his mark is one of the things that will happen right before the end. So we can't be 100% sure when that's going to happen. But judging from what the world is looking like, it looks like it could be soon.
With all the imorrality in this world, God has to stop it some time.

God said not even the angels in Heaven know when the end will come, so of course, you have to be ready. The end maybe closer than you think, also the Beast as well.

According to the Word of God and prophecies, it could be anytime now. The technology exists and many things are in place for the anti-christ to rise to power...unless, that is being done as well and I just have not noticed him yet!

From what I have read, a senator from WIsconsin already has this identifiable microchip under his skin. Don't get the tattoo or micro chip, from all I have heard, its a guaranteed one way ticket to hell.

Closer than you think. But it won't happen until after the 2nd coming of Christ. When Jesus walked the Earth he said we were in the final days, and that was over 2000 years ago! Just be prepared spiritually and you won't have to worry about it.
