Right now Im 5'9 160 lbs but that is fat not muscle. I am currently taking weight training and next week we see what our maxes are and stuff. But I have never lifted in my life but I need it because I joined the football team. I am pretty strong but Ive never benched in my life and Im sure I will only bench 135 lbs thats what most people benched when they started. Is this embarrasing ? Cause Im fat and Weak I dont want to get bothered by it, does this happent o everyone new to lifting?. I kno some guys are that shorter than me and are heavier cause of their muscle mass if I at least put some weight on me I could play in the games

Don't worry about how much you lift right now-everybody lifts different amounts when they first start out.What is most important is that you lift using proper form so that you do not get injured.
