The most common answer here seems to be, in as many words, that you lose the ability to think independently and to decide on your own once you get up there. The second most common answer is a thinly-veiled threat that you're heading for fire and brimstone.

Of course, as you know and I know, it's all a rhetorical question based on a joke about a silly belief.

That means that maybe the person really didn't accept Christ as their savior.Perhaps they only made an confession of faith because they were pressured or because of the fear of hell not because they wanted to have a relationship with the Father.Or they really did accept Christ and now they are no longer walking with God but they can't enjoy their sin because the Holy Spirit lives inside them convicts them when they do wrong. If you still need help with this just ask and I'll try to explain it again.

I'm sorry,I misread your question.I missed the bit about heaven.
Well,if the person is in heaven and has seen Jesus face to face they wouldn't to go to hell instead.

According to the teachings of reincarnation in the Bible that King James forgot to take out so he could control the people that were saying "oh well, I can live it up and do what I want to and do it all over again. In my opinion he didn't like their opinion much. You have been to Heaven many times and came back by choice many times. There are to many scriptures in the Bible about reincarnation. There is no private interpretation to the word of God, so they say.

If you are not truly saved then, you won't go, if you are then you will. At the point that you are speaking of the great separation would take place. God already knows who will truly accept Him and who won't. At that point, there won't be any "changing of minds", that is why it is important to decide when you first hear the Word of God given right then and not reject it. That decision have eternal consequences.

In heaven everyone will be perfect in their spirit and mind. And once you stand in glory, the thought of anything negative will be overcome by perfect wisdom and understanding. Sounds like you need some of that now..The devil had also changed his mind from walking in beauty and perfection to that of pride and hatred and look where it got him. The Lake of Fire...

The question you are asking is dealt with in the Book of Revelation. Read it thoroughly, and you will see that rebellion can occur because of the privilege of freedom of choice. You will also see the end result of this rebellion against God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

In the original text, for "repentance" is used the Greek word μετανοῖα or metanoia meaning "changing one's mind", "repentance", correctio.

In heaven will enter only those changed, corrected so deeply perfect that they can not change back again.

"Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?" (Romans 2:4)

No one would ever want to change their mind after they have accepted Christ in their heart, because He is the greatest love that any one could ever know.

it's possible. but you won't. once in Heaven ...i suppose you could chose Hell. you could noit chose to come back to the earth. you die, it's either Heaven or Hell. being in the presence of God is going to be the most fulfilling and enjoyable thing anyone will ever get to do.

I think that if you are in Heaven, it might be a little bit too late to change your mind. Just a little bit though. ;-)
