buy Cadbury melts from the cooking section of a supermarket to dip them in. Put some in a microwave dish and melt on med heat for 30 seconds at a time til it reaches dipping consistency - you may have to stir the chocolate between shots in microwave as chocolate tends to hold its shape a bit. After dipping in chocolate try rolling the strawberries in chopped nuts or coconut etc for a different effect. You can also dip other fruits too!

You can use milk chocolate or even chocolate chips, just not the bittersweet unsweetened baking chocolate.
It is better to attempt this in a double boiler (or little pot of chocolate perched on top of a bigger pot full of boiling water) than really trash a lot of expensive chocolate in the microwave. If you feel adventurous, try 30-45 seconds in the microwave and then stir.
I use half-sheet pans lined with parchment or waxed paper and then dip the strawberries and chill in the refrigerator. The chocolate will turn white and cry if left in the refrigerator overnight.

I use Nestles chocolate wafers or chips and melt for about 1 to 1 and 1/2 minutes stirring half way through - if serving fondue style add 1tablespoon sherry or some other sweet wine (if you don't have sherry sweet mirin or raspberry vinegar will work). They do make little microwave cups that take all the guess work out as well. Good Luck!

When I do it I use nestle semi-sweet chocolate chips or a nestle chocolate bar. Don't do it in the microwave. Do it on the stove. Keep the temp on low and keep stirring. The chocolate will burn quickly if you don't. Another idea for them is to cut off the tops and use a skewer and cover them in chocolate and lay them on a plate lined with wax paper and pop them in the freezer for about 10 minutes. The chocolate hardens and the strawberries get cold and juicy.

use your favorite chocolate to eat. NOT baking chocolate there is no sugar in it. simply chop fine, place in microwave, 15 second increments, stir, keep going until fully melted, it is that easy. if the chocolate gets stiff, like lumpy and you cannot get it smooth you may have to add a neutral oil like canola but do not add alot a little at a time and do not use olive oil.
