"Lens Error"....that's a scary message to find on your digital camera. Either the camera has been subjected to drop/fall shock damage or moisture has seeped in the camera and shorted out computer auto-focus features.

Which ever the case may be, it does sound like your camera may be in need of repairs. Brace yourself: this may get costly.

I'd look online to for the OFFICIAL website from your brand camera. Most popular name brands DO have one, trust me. On the site, seek out either a TROUBLESHOOTING, CUSTOMER SERVICE (or SUPPORT) or TECHNICAL SUPPORT area. Click on those for either some fix it solutions, or e-mail inquiries of what the problem MAY be and where you can bring your camera in locally for repairs.

Again: brace yourself.....this may get costly.

No, I don't want my camera to give me a lens error.

If you have a DSLR, it could mean you're using the wrong type of lens, or you've forgotten to set the aperture when mounting it.

So, what kind of camera is it?
