Thanks to companies like Monsanto, if it isn't now, it may be in the future. The reason is that organic farms are not pollinated in a vacuum, so pollen from nearby farms that may have fallen for the scam of genetically mutilated seeds from Monsanto can contaminate organic crops. Maybe not this year's crops, but next year's seeds.
The reason all this is possible, along with the secrecy behind bGH in milk, is that right after the civil war some bigoted right-wing "activist" judge decided that if blacks were given rights, then corporations should be too. This is one of the scams that paved the way for the Robber Barons, just like Reagan's voodoo deregulation paved the way for the Robber Barons of Enron.

It depends on what you are buying. If you are buying organically raised meats to avoid exposure to anti-biotics and hormones, it is worth it. If you are buying organically grown produce because you think it is safer you may be fooling yourself. Organically grown produce can easily contain more bacteria than that grown with pesticides. You still have to wash thoroughly and hope the bacteria did not get inside (like the spinach last year).

Hello:
To tell you the truth,if I was rich,I would be buying alot of organic products because they are better for you since they are free of hormones and pesticides. The unfortunate part is that organic anything is very expensive so we have to buy the regular fruits,vegetables,meats,etc...

Only if you cannot verify the "Organic" claim. Some small grocers will claim to be organic but you need to verify their certification. The point of organics is no only are they safe and better for the environment they are better for the farmer. If the farmer grows organics he/she has committed to crop rotation and pesticide free growing which protects our ground water and increases our immunities by providing healthier and more disease resistant foods.

it depends on what u buy. if u buy certain fruit that involves eating the peel like strawberries, apples, etc, then it wouldnt. I think also it is also better for u b/c u wouldnt have pesticides going in ur body. u may decrease the risk of getting sick from ur food. but u do need to make sure u dont see bug bites before u buy. if this doesnt help, mayb ask a professional for advice

If you only buy organic it is worth the money.
However; if you consume anything that isn't organic then it is definitely a waste. For organic foods to really do your body good that has to be all that you consume.

that depends on what you think. personally, some organic foods are too overpriced, so i would say its not essential to eat organic, but for some foods which aren't so expensive, then why not? it's free of pesticides, etc so it would be better for you. but really it's not that essential
:)
