Osama will not attack any one. He will not strap a bomb to his chest and go to the market, he will not drive a car bomb, he will not even fly a plane into a building. He Will make others do it for him. Keep in mind we have UAVs in the skies day and night, we have spies, spooks and allies all in the region and some people think we can't find a 6'6" Saudi roaming the hills between Pakistan and Afghanistan? We probably know exactly what he is doing and who he's talking to. We're following the money and we can even see that guy leave the cave and deliver a new video tape to Al Jezera. What we are probably doing is watching him and finding his sleeper cells, like the guys that wanted to attack Fort Dix, or the guys that wanted to bring explosive liquids on planes. We ill take out the actual people that will do the attacks. If we take Osama out it would be mostly only useful for morale but every terrorist out there will change their plans, abort plans or attack right then. If we keep him alive then we can quietly take out his people and the American public will only hear a story about it every so often.

The CIA has always been horrible at human resources and special ops are everywhere in the world and are even helping Etheopia route the enemy in Somalia.

The U.S. does have a history of not going in for the kill when seperation was just a good of an alternative. For instance after an Indian attack, the U.S. military chased the Indians into a swamp. Instead of getting possibly ambushed, they allowed the Indians to live in that smelly old swamp which they probably hated every minute. Sitting Bull went on a U.S. speaking tour after his men killed U.S. troops and was finally killed by U.S. trained Indians. Even Mexico chased one of their biggest recent terrorists groups into a set of mountains and and instead of going after them, they just left those guys up there with nothing to eat or drink.

Saddam might be the boogy man, but he has defently lost all his power. He isn't parading in downtown Pakistan or visiting his troops in Iraq. The guy is in hiding spending all his time making one lousy 5 minute tape every couple of years. The guy is more scared of the world than the world is of him.

Yea ive definitely thought about this. I actually believe that the forces in Afganistan are not even looking for Osama anymore. He's obviously in Pakistan and without that countries permission the US cannot invade. You have to consider that if this was any other 3rd world country the US would easily occupy it. But Pakistan is a nuclear power. Think about it.

It just might be that finding someone under tons of mountain side is just to much. You might also ask where Jimmy Hoffa is. I think he and Osama are hiding in the same place. They're are burning in a very hot place with a horned guy with a pitch fork.

Because the so called Muslim allies of the US are doublefaced and opportunists. They sided with whomsover they are with, and they can be both anti or pro Al qaeda at the same time, they don't have balls to make a stand against growing extremism in their faith. I do believed the prince of darkness "Osama bin Laden" is being condoned in safe haven by both rogue pakistani and afghan officials in their border areas religiously symphatetic to him and Al qaeda.

I have very little doubt that they are in the dark on where this guy is. However, the political problems derived from going in and getting him without permission from the Pakistani government would cause more problems than it would solve, IMHO
