Does God give me the desires that are in my heart or do they come from me? How do I know if what I want is what is right for me? How do I know if my desire is right or my motivation is right? Any idea? Scriptures?

Psalm 37 states a promise from God:
4 Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

It's an axiom, ipso facto. And it works better when it's a spontaneous effect, not a deliberate effort. I would make sure that I wasn't doing to get, nor that I was giving to get. Let your heart be fully involved in the reading of the scripture, tell God of anything you can, especially when you have no idea what to do, or what to say.

The main points of being Christian is: We believe it when He says something, and we hold on the His promises no matter what the circumstances are.

Some desires are put on your heart by God. I can't say that of all of them though. Our flesh desires sinful things sometimes, God is in no way putting them there.
I don't know what you're talking about specifically, but will answer you in a general sense.
Is what you want sinful? If it is, then it's not right for you. Is what you want going to glorify God?
The Bible teaches us that we should glorify God in all we do. God doesn't care if we go shopping, eat that piece of cake, or choose teaching as a profession. All He cares about is whether or not we are glorifying Him. That is our purpose, it is why we were put here.
If there is sin in what you are doing, then you can rest assured that it is not what God wants you to do.
God puts things on our hearts. He places people in our hearts or minds for various reasons. Or certain desires.
So many people get hung up on God's will. They don't know what HE wants them to do. It's simple, you can do whatever you desire to do, just so long as your being obedient to what He commands in Scripture. There is a reason certain people are drawn to different things. It is what makes you, you.
Hopefully I've answered your question and not just confused you! I will suggest a book for you to read, it's really great. It's called "Found: God's Will" and it's by John MacArthur.

If your desires are to know more of God, His will for your life, His Word for you every day living, His unconditional love He has for you, His plans for yor decision making, then your desires are from Him. Delight thyself in the ways of the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Psalms.

Motivation, the impelling force behind our conduct, is a further vital aspect of the inner person, as represented by the “heart.” Thus, those making contributions for the construction of the tabernacle “came, everyone whose heart impelled him.” (Ex 35:21, 26, 29; 36:2) Wicked Haman “emboldened himself” (literally, filled him as to his heart) to scheme against the Jews. (Es 7:5, ftn; Ac 5:3) Hebrews 4:12 explains that God’s word of promise, like a sharp sword, is able to “discern thoughts and intentions of the heart.” Jesus, too, indicated that from the heart springs the motivating force behind our conduct, whether it is good or bad. (Mt 15:19; Lu 6:45) With a view to our cultivating right motivations, the Bible warns us against allowing our dealings with others to be tainted by a desire for selfish gain (Jude 16) or permitting love of money, a craving for riches, to determine our course of life. (1Ti 6:9, 10; Pr 23:4, 5) Rather, it encourages us to cultivate genuine love for God as a basis for our service to him (1Jo 5:3; De 11:13) and self-sacrificing love as a guide in dealing with fellow believers (Joh 15:12, 13); it also encourages us to make a practice of loving others of our fellowmen as we do ourselves (Lu 10:27-37; Ga 6:10). Obviously, the cultivating of such motivations involves use of the thinking faculties.—Ps 119:2, 24, 111.

If your desires are God's desire then your desire is God's desire.

God's greatest commandment reflect God's greatest desire. Finding out God's greatest desire is a point to start.

"And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. " (Mark 12:29-31)

God desires to lead our lives individually and personally, to be involved in our everyday choices and decisions of our lives - both when helping us to make right choices in life and then by assisting us after we make decisions based on that guidance.

That is not in itself an easy question to answer first of all you have not told us what it is that is in your heart, remember that our hearts can deceive us... we can be sure we are living in his will if we who have the spirit of God living within us are led by the spirit and our hearts do not condemn us. asking yourself what is my motivation is proof that the spirit is working in you, because the Spirit searches our hearts and reveals it's motives. So when you ask yourself "what is my motivation" and you find your motivation is to please or bring glory to God you are seeking his will , if you are looking for rewards and things that stroke your ego, you are following your own will not his.

God gave you free will & if you do something or want something & it doesn't work out then God doesn't let you have that or do that because he knows it's for the better but he'll always give you something of equal or greater value later.
