I livin in a community of 300k armenians and the crime here is bad not to mention the driving they do--horrendous.

Now, when the give people tickets, two cameramen get out of the police car and videotape you and take down every word you say while another police officer is writing a ticket?

Is this unusual or what or is this person a suspect or something?

I've lived near Glendale years back and because of the acceleration of crime I'm out of California, now as for the video taping is this on going or did you witness a Hollywood event, a police real life video shot for training? you say "crime here is bad", most police have in car video cams that is because when they get in court a picture tells a thousand words or in this case video not only that but to protect the officer from false claims of police wrong doing I watched the video of the Rodney King disaster and then the live beating on TV of the white guy trucker after the verdict was read those two event are only part of the reason for in car video, the main purpose is for protection from false claims form individuals wishing to sue for profit in the long run it protects both the citizen and the office, think about this you have a video camera pointed at you, are you really going to get out of control is the office going to risk his job and depending how long the officers been on the job risk losing his pension and job I don't think so, look at it this way like my Dad use to say "locks don't keep people out they keep them honest"

It's a preventative measure. It'll be used as supporting evidence if someone refutes the ticket. It's basically the police officers covering their butts. "CYA"

Tax payers do foot the bill. I, personally, do not see it as a waste. Imagine how many people have the potential to get out of tickets in a he said she said match. The purpose of video taping routine traffic stops is to support the officers stop and citation. I hope this helps.

Maybe it is an episode of cops being taped, in many cases these are done for educational purposes for future officers and to have supporting evidence. Most cops do have cameras on their dash that record their actions to show many things.

I have been seeing a lot of Glendale police on the TV show Speeders. I'll bet thats whats going on. I have heard that if you let them film you, they pay the ticket.
