If you are young enough to still be getting an allowance you don't need a $65 purse, it's that simple and your mother understands that. Wait until you are older and earn a salary, then if you want to spend that big of a chunk on it you can decide that. Have you considered how hard your parents work for that much money? Give it some thought before you think they are being unfair.

That is why it is important to save your money so you can buy things you really want. I don't know how old you are, but young enough to receive an allowance.
So you should accept that your Mom won't purchase it for you, and save your money, you will either find another purse, or do odd jobs to make the money.
You will appreciate the purse more if you earn the money to buy it.
Good luck.

Parents just don't want their kids to walk all over them. That's all. She is trying to teach you a lesson on conserving money, cause in the real world, you can't just go out and buy 65 dollar items when you have bills to pay. It could also be that your mother just doesn't have the money for it right now, and doesn't want to tell you that. Why not go out and mow lawns, or walk dogs for extra money to buy the purse? I used to shovel driveways of snow for extra money when I was younger. Good luck.

For crying out loud! It's a purse. It's not medication needed to save your life.
Get over it.
Tone down your expectations. You don't need a $65 purse. If you really need a new purse, find one that's similar at a more reasonable price.

I don't personally know your mom, so I can't help you crack her.
Even though you would be paying for it with your own money, maybe she's trying to teach you how to be a smart shopper.
Maybe you can state your case to her in a mature and formulated way?
