dogs can get fleas anywhere, and anytime or season, fleas are around yearly, so the best idea would be to give it frontline/advantage, or a flee collar.

Dogs get fleas anywhere, even in your own frontyard (assuming you have one). It just depends on the bath and the care you provide... a collar thingy, some regular baths with good flea control shampoo and trying to keep him in clean areas should do the trick. Yes, your dog can get fleas anywhere. If your dog is medicated so tht they wont get fleas then they may not. But wherever you go your dog can get fleas. For all you know your dog can have fleas right this minute. Medicate your dog monthly with flea/tick repelent. (make sure its for dogs)

Yes. Dogs commonly get sand fleas in the Southwestern US. People can get them from dogs, too.

If there are fleas in 'Vegas and your breed is prone to get fleas, yup!
