i was on a medication that caused my mouth and teeth to be real sensitive when i ate certain foods such as acidy foods and sweets.I stop taking the medication about 3 weeks ago and it still hurts my jaw and teeth when i eat sweets or something cold.I have to eat real so because hard foods seem to make my mouth real sore all around.

Since you had the deep scaling and root planing from the periodontist, when the gums healed you have a small gap where the enamel meets the gums. This often times leads to having tooth sensitivity.
Using a toothpaste for sensitive teeth will help with the sensitivity.

some meds affect enamel on teeth. and should decrease in time . try tooth paste for sensitive teeth it helps me.
