When you see them cleaning your dorms, or offices, do you take the time to say hello? I hope so

Sometimes, but you should always be respectful. You should take the time every now and then to say something because sometimes they can be really cool and have hook-ups because they're the cleaning people.

Well since we can't afford cleaning people anymore, and the person I hired refuses to get dirty, yeah I am pretty nice to me.

And yes, when I worked in a building that had a cleaning service I was always polite to them. Knew them by name and gave small gifts at Christmas. I'm also polite to wait staff and DMV clerks, and landscapers, etc., etc.

But I can't take credit for it, I was just raised well.

Cleaning people are like any other people. Say hello to them and hold the door for them when they are hauling equipment.

If you work in an office leave you door unlocked or place you trash can outside the door so they can empty it.

I was a cleaning person and no, most people aren't nice. When you bust your rear to clean an office all you usually get is a 'thank you' or 'gee, it sure looks nice', I don't care about all that stuff...I want CASH. Why should I care that your office looks nice? It isn't My office! You dirtied it, so you should clean it! Where do people get off with a 'thank you',,,I want CASH!!!!!....lol

Im nice to most people i work with. We have potlucks at work and usually im like hey there is food if u want or if we order out we ask if they want in on it. Some are more personal than others so it goes both ways. And since most of them are women and tiny sometimes i help them when they cant reach things or move things out of their way.

I own my home...so I Am the cleaning person, and yes I am very nice to myself, even tip myself every now and then with a new purse or pair of shoes.

Absolutely. I'm thankful they're there. If they weren't the place would be an absolute mess because my bosses are total slobs. But it's not all about them. I appreciate the great job Kayje does in our office.

I don't have them in my building, but I do at work. I'm cordial to her saying hello and good morning. I give her the respect I would expect her to give me.

Of course---service staff are people too. They deserve respect and courtesy just like the rest of us.
