why did i not throw it up or something?
just so you know i immediately regretted it.

if its paracetamol you did not throw up because in order to overdose you need to take around 20 - (which, if you are considering it is a really REALLY stupid idea because if you don't get the antidote in time after taking that much paracetamol your liver cells will start to explode from not being able to handle the toxic byproduct produced, and you will die a slow, excruciating death which will take around a week. Not fun. Your liver would turn black, I've seen a liver that this happened to.) Paracetamol is one of the most dangerous drugs on the market. By taking 8 you prob damaged your liver a bit but because the liver regenerates you should be sweet.
Just by the way I used to do that sort of thing too when i was a teenager so you're not a freak or anything, but I just wish I'd known how bad it was for me back then

We cannot tell you what this amount of aspirin tablets might have done. This may depend on how many mg the tablets were; your weight; other medications you might be taking; and health problems you might have. Very, very generally speaking, 8 tablets may not be enough to cause problems.
Your best resource is the poison hotline at 1-800-222-1222. There are trained professionals who will know what questions to ask regarding symptoms you may be having related to the aspirin. They will let you know whether you need to see a physician. You don't need to be having an emergency to call this 24-hour hotline. They even answer general questions.
When you feel emotionally unstable, call Information and ask for a suicide hotline. Talk to the person at the hotline about how you feel. It is often easier to talk to a stranger on the phone about personal issues.

You probably will be okay. 8 aspirn won't kill you unless you have an allergy to them. Just don't lose any blood okay? You obviously need some professional help. If you find yourself depressed and suicidal again, call 911, you might not like it in the mental hospital, but at least they will keep you from hurting yourself until you get helped.

Well, you are alive and well right now. So, your body was probably not damaged in any significant way at this point. However, you may want to talk to someone about the intensity of your emotions as they seem to get the best of you at times in ways that lead to this type of self-destructive behavior.

You might have just damaged your liver a little, I take like 8-9 at a time, sometimes, usually like ATLEAST 15 a day...I am fine

You didn't take the amount that can make you throw up. By the way I took 24 in a two hour period and was fine. It depends on what your body can take. And yes your liver was slightly damaged.

Not much of anything. You didn't throw it up because it's not that big of a deal. Some people take 8 aspirin when they have a headache.

Well,from experience, when I was 21, I was at my witts end,...and wanted to end it all...so in my 'big' attempt, to kill myself, in this particular incident...i decided to end it with pills. I proceeded to go straight to the medical cabinet, and found about thirty aspirins..and swallowed them...I then went looking for more, and couldn't find anything..it was weird, because my sissis bf came home about that time, and took me to the hospital, of course telling me how stupid i was,...( like I needed to hear what a failure I was at even a suicide attempt)....they gave me something to drink and to throw it up...I didn't have any ill effect, and I was fine..so I think it takes a lot, to really mess you up honey...but don't do that again. God loves you, Jesus Loves, you and I love you xxx

you didnt take enough to do anything to your body if you were harming your body, you would have thrown up b/c ur body would have been trying to get rid of the toxins. u should talk 2 a doctor and let them know youve been feeling depressed. good luck!!

you blood is very very thin you should hve made your self through up becasue when your blood starts to thicken again you may end up with a clot and have a heartattach or stroke. they give asprin to stroke and heart attack victums to help thin out there blood as asprin acts as a blood thinner
