It has mostly to do with how they are brought up. If they are not taught to respect others, especially the weaker sex (just kidding!); then they will repeat their caregiver's stupidity.
In my case, had I done anything like that & my mother found out; it would not be pretty.
A "hey baby"; I don't consider that as an insult, a bit rude, yeah. It's almost a compliment! LOL!
My generation saw the birth of woman's rights (the E.R.A.). And at that time I had been cursed out for holding a door open for a girl. I.e. (you) "chauvinist pig!"

We are trained from early life that it is up to us to get the girls to notice us. If we don't do those things that you consider rude, you won't. Unfortunately there are some guys that don't understand that just getting noticed is only one step in being selected as a possible mate. The women that notice you can't be simply laughing at you moments later.
If you don't like the comments, just wait, soon enough there will be another set of young girls that will catch the guys eyes and they will not slow down to look at you.

First of all, both guys and girls can be stupid at times, it is part of our makeup. But if you are stupid all the time, then there are problems.
Men like to be noticed just as much as women do, but for some reason, women don't seem to compliment men as much as they want the men to compliment them. Men have big ego's and calling a girl who walks by, "baby, sweetie" etc, is just a cheesy comment to get their attention, and to try to attract them. It usually doesn't work, and most women/girls don't like it.
So don't think they are all stupid, some just have less class than others, and those are the ones you want to stay away from.
Good luck.

Every once in a while we just can't help but put our foot in our mouth, It's called foot in mouth disease. Very common among guy's especially when someone we like is near by. I have been guilty on various times just no excuse. It is sort of like guy's use of a remote to channel surf.

If all girls would stop responding to it then guys would stop acting that way. Sounds like you're a victim of the actions of the other females in the world. Get over it, it's not going to change. I'm not trying to be harsh, but for your own good, get over it. Ignore it and wait for the right guy to approach you the right way. But be prepared to wait a while.

Cuz some don't know how to respect us girls, but I must agree with you that some guys are plain rude and are very immature.

Good question. I am dying to see the answers. I like guys with some class and respect for themselves and others. I don't like guys trying to look cool by being disrespectful to me. Totally with you there. Good question.
