Yes, Antioxidants can help prevent wrinkles and even repair exisiting skin problems. If you have a vitamin deficiency, chances are it will show up in your skin first. The antioxidants A, C, and E occur naturally in the skin, protecting it from free radical damage. If your complexion looks like it is becoming more dry and forming lines, or losing its elasticity, then you probably lack necessary antioxidants in your skin.

Consuming foods with high levels of antioxidants will help throughout your body. Fresh fruits and vegetables are loaded with antioxidents. If you are looking for an easy way consume antioxidants, check out Mona Vie juice on www.thesuperfruitblend.com. It is a concentrated juice blend of 19 fruits and berries and you chill it and drink it as a shot. Just 1 oz contains the antioxidents equivalent to 3-5 servings of fruit.

For skin-specific remedies, you should also try skin care products that include the important age-defying antioxidants A, C, and E.

Vitamin A reduces and prevents wrinkles, brown spots, and actinic keratoses. Helps reduce surface lines, enhances skin’s elasticity. Immediately improves skin texture and tone. Commonly known as Retinal Palmitate in topical skin treatments.

Vitamin C acts as an antioxidant by scavenging and quenching free radicals. Helps prevent free radical degeneration, promotes the production of collagen that supports the structure of the skin, aids in the healing of damaged skin. Commonly known as Ascorbic Acid.

Vitamin E effective in reducing lines and wrinkles associated with sun exposure. Helps protect skin from free radicals and signs of premature aging. Helps maintain firmness and texture, and ensures better use of oxygen by the skin cells. Commonly known as Tocopheryl Acetate in skincare ingredients.

Too many free radicals + not enough antioxidants = wrinkles

Free radical damage is caused by pollution, excessive sun exposure, poor diet, and even stress. Free radicals attack and break down the two critical proteins, collagen and elastin, which are responsible for keeping skin soft and supple, yet firm. When collagen and elastin are broken down quicker than they can be replaced, the skin becomes thin, wrinkly and translucent.

Good Luck!

Its said to help prevent new wrinkles but no real scientific evidence can prove this. Face cream with SPF 15 is good enough. No need for antioxidents in the face cream. Consume them through foods and tea.
