He likes the girl a lot but he pretends to "hate" her will she's around. What can my best friend do?

For starters, he stop pretending to hate her when she's around. That is so juvenile, not to mention confusing for her. He should be real, and stop the pretense.

Pretending to hate the girl you like is the lamest most childish game I remember from when I was like 8 yrs old. Grow some hair.

well girls take things really literally so if he pretends to hate her she might really think he hates her if he is just nice (not overly nice) and he just says hi every once and a while and smile at her ocasinally and he can't be mean infront of his friends to show off!! and are u 11 also and why are you asking 4 him?

Eleven is a pretty immature age.
If he wants any friends, male or female, he best act like a "friend" himself.

Any guy who does that to a girl, is probably going to make her cry, especially if she really likes him. Your 'friend' needs to grow up.

11 years old? leave girls alone for another 7 years. Too young. I was playing with GI Joes at 11. Please do not grow too fast...once you grow up you stay growed up.
