Well girl, how much do you know about this guy ? Take a cautious approach. One common mistake we girls make is to expect too much too soon. He will probably not object because all guys want just one thing. But you have to ask yourself whether this guy will fulfill your emotional needs first. I would suggest just increasing your friendship to size him up. Spend time with him, observe his manners, etc., etc. . And then if he really is a good guy, look for the right time and tell him how you feel.

If he barely knows you, then no. Get to know him a lot and talk to him often. Then you can ask him out, because he will know you better, you will know him better, and both of you will be more comfortable. Just don't get too close that he will reject you, because he prefers you guys friends.

Probably not.
Think about it...
MOST relationships are one sided.
One is in love; the other is in like.
It's awkward as heck.
Let him know, subtly, that you're interested... if he is also interested, he'll ask you out.
e.g. I had a guy who liked me ...
He said "I like what I see"
and I told him... "That's good cause I like what -I- see!"
so he asked me out.
