Pathogenic Microorganisms

The previous post was very thorough, but in case you wanted kinds of microbes (and not just species of bacteria), I'll add this:

Fungi are eukaryotic microbes that can cause several series illnesses, such as yeast infections, histoplasmosis, aspergillosis, ringworm, etc, etc.

Bacteria are prokaryotic microbes that cause a myrid of infections, such as straph. infections, strep infections, tuberculosis, Legionairre's disease.

Viruses (which aren't technically even alive) cause many common illnesses like mumps, influenza, the common cold, ebola, AIDS, herpes, chicken pox.

Prions barely fit the term "microbes." They are self-replicating proteins that cause some serious illnesses like mad cow disease, creuzfeld-jakobs disease, and kuru.

Some protozoa can also cause diseases, such as malaria, sleeping sickness, Chagas' disease, and giardia.

Finally, some worms/parasites cause some fairly horrifying disease...the most common is the tapeworm, but many flukes and nematodes can also cause illess.

I hope this helps you some!

There are two types of herpes simplex virus: HSV-1 and HSV-2. Both virus types can cause sores around the mouth (herpes labialis) and on the genitals (genital herpes). Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV).
Cold sores sometimes called fever blisters, are groups of small blisters on the lip and around the mouth. The skin around the blisters is often red, swollen, and sore. The blisters may break open, leak a clear fluid, and then scab over after a few days. They usually heal in several days to 2 weeks.
The herpes simplex virus usually enters the body through a break in the skin around or inside the mouth. It is usually spread when a person touches a cold sore or touches infected fluid—such as from sharing eating utensils or razors, kissing an infected person, or touching that person's saliva. A parent who has a cold sore often spreads the infection to his or her child in this way. Cold sores can also be spread to other areas of the body.

Poor nutrition often plays a major role, as does exposure to toxins. Age plays less of a role before menopause than was originally thought. While there are many wonderful naturally minded fertility specialists out there, in many cases it is not possible for them to test for and address any of these possible underlying issues.
