I already know my way, but I wanted to hear what other people have to say. I don't think the "surge" is working, nor do support a pullout.

Ideally, the "best" end to the War, would be if we could get the other Countries in the area (Iran, Saudi Arabia, Syria, etc.)- to contribute men, money & negociators- and take over OUR role of reconstructing Iraq. THAT way- WE could "get out" in one piece; there would be some measure of Security in the Country; and MAYBE some measure of a Unified Government can be established... It probably wouldn't be the kind of "Democratic" government BUSH wants in power there- but that's not going to happen anyway at the rate we're going.

Hon, to stage a "pullout" now would be suicide for anyone left "in-country". But, a perfect ending to this war is: The insurgents stop their insanity due to the fact that the Iraqi population gets angry enough to say "ENOUGH" and begins to refuse to be fearful of the insurgents. then the US can pull out of Iraq and not worry about the terrorists.

1) create a national epic- deeply emotional media (music, film, literature) that conveys the war weariness and desire for peace in all men, direct this image at the common folk of kind of an uplifting thing if you know what i mean. Create it, produce it, spread it all over for like a nickle, maybe even make a whole department like this, call it the propaganda dept (just a name). Create the image of peace and friendly people, teach through art. Support people like Ghandi and Dr. King, find em, promote em, support em, give them reasouces and scripts/ help, air time.

2) build a national monument to rally them all behind the central idea that is iraq (not american monument, iraqi monument that celebrates thier glory and thier unity.) What ties them together? What is thier heritage? thier dreams hopes and future. NOT YOURS.... THIERS. Build it, protect it, it may become a battleground, which is more testament to it's completion. Then you will win a wonder victory ;^)..... Build it maybe in the desert to protect it unless you can better protect it near a major city. idk.

3) always keep em happy, bars, clubs, restaurants, toilets, jobs/ money, stadium, schools, church, police, water, recreation, keeps the angry mobs off your back.

You are confused. It was an invasion by the US and Britian. Pulling out will end the fighting in Iraq. If they want democracy and order, they will find it for themselves. It is not something you can force upon them.

it's either that or stay and die. if you support the troops, you'll support a pullout bringing them all home

Pull out every last soldier and offer to help anyone who wants to leave. They can imigrant to syria or Turkey.
Then nuke the place and let the immigrants go back after it is radiation clear. I guarantee they will not do another terror attack. Then tell Afganistan if they go there and support terriorism they will get the same thing. Or pakistan.
