high lighting tools?

I was wondering if there are programs out there that would allow you to high light something and instead of the black color then copy paste it would automatically put the highlighted text some were i.e a word document?

i need to take notes and a lot of them

I would do a google search for "clipboard replacement".

Seems to me I have seen something like this that automates the process and can store lots of information.

There are lots that will allow you to keep copying and then when you're done just paste everything at once.
