People need to stop this horrible misuse of information regarding global warming.

1.) Yes, global warming is real.
2.) Global warming is a natural cycle the sun and earth go through. You nay have heard of the other name for global cooling... "ice age".
3.) It will not kill you, but you should know about it.
4.) A single volcanic eruption (like the one about to happen in Alaska) releases more greenhouse gasses than the total output of humans for decades.
5.) The rise in the earth's temperature can be directly related to a rise in output from the sun. There have been similar temperature increases on other planets in our solar system (and you don't see people trying to get Martians to drive hybrid cars do you?)
6.) There is a huge amount of money at stake here and the information you are receiving about global warming is attached to a larger agenda from people who are out to make a buck cashing in on your fears.
7.) Don't be a sheep. It's good that you are seeking the truth, just be careful who who accept the "truth" from. I prefer scientists myself as opposed to politicians.

I linked a SCIENTIFIC explanation of global warming below from a non-partisan SCIENTIFIC source... www.space.com you might find it interesting and it may serve to allay your fears.
I suggest anyone who discusses this topic to read it, it just might open your eyes.

Hope this helps!

**edit** I love it when people just can't accept facts. You'll see i get a few thumbs down on this one, just goes to show how the truth is inconvenient for those with an agenda.

That's wonderful that you are wanting to help at 15! You proble won't die yet, but problems will come up in this world. You can ride a bike to school, use as little as electric as possible, inform people about it, RECYCLE (right too-- no trash in the recycling) Don't order magazines if you don't need them, if you get bulk mail then contact the company and tell them to stop. Please go to: http://www.dogwalkeraz.com/survey.htm... and fill out our pollution/green survey. Then once you submit it,it will show you more ways you can help the world and you can also see what others say.

Take Care!

You won't die, if you live in a rich country.

The country will have to move people away from coasts and completely redo their agriculture and irrigation systems. That will cost huge amounts of money and make you poorer, but you won't die.

In poor countries already struggling to feed themselves, some people (not all) will die of starvation.

But there is a plan to reduce global warming that will avoid all that, for all countries. It was worked out by hundreds of scientists and economists. It is affordable and practical.

This book will explain how you can work to help reduce global warming. It should be available in most any bookstore. Ask your parents to read it too.

Depends on your survival instinct. Do you stand under trees in a lightning storm? Do you live in a flood plain? Do you fly a lot in stormy weather? Do you watch stupid MTV reality shows about kids hurting themselves and try to emulate them?

Your survival depends as much on your actions as it does on Global Warming. If you are smart about it, and prepared, you should live a long life. Your children's' lives I cannot guarantee.

The earth goes through cycles, if you are 15 years old now you were not old enough to remember that the same scholars that are warning of global warming were warning us of the coming ice age,now they have reversed themselves and are screaming about global warming and the doom to follow look we have little impact on the warming or cooling of the core temp. of the earth, just wait and when you are my age the informed will again change course and tell you to prepare for the coming doom of the next big ice age,if you doubt what I am telling you go to time life website and reference coming ice age you will see they were wrong then they are wrong now, remember the prehistoric time line the dino's lived in a tropical climate and were killed off by an ice age that covered most of the earth,so think what happened to all that ice man wasn't around then he didn't have SUV's or coal burning power plants did he of course not the earth started to warm on its own and in years to come it will cool on its own.

Well if you live in America, your life expectancy is about 75-77 years. Unless, of course, global warming, martians or malevolent unicorns take you out in the meantime.
