Considering that he was "part of God", Jesus didn't do much. He may have cured the odd leper and blind person, but why didn't he invent penicillin or find the cure for cancer?

During Jesus's time on earth he cured every diseased person that came around him. Ask and ye shall recieve, thats why he had a huge following, but the main reason Jesus was here was to cure the spiritual side of man. By dieing for everyone's sins on the cross he forever opened the door to salvation once for all mankind. He gave all that he could, his Life. He gave it freely, that was his mission from the Father, and he fulfilled it all the way to the cross where he said it is finished. A perfect man with no sin had died. The Bible says without the shedding of blood there is no remission for sin. Jesus shed his blood on the cross. The Bible also says that the blood of bulls and goats cannot atone for sin so that is why the Father sent his perfect son, John 3:16. Now do you believe in Jesus, do you believe he died for your sins and mine, if you do and you are will to admit and confess to him that you are a sinner in need of a Saviour I can show you how to be saved right here. Jesus says there is no other way to heaven except by me. Say this prayer and become a child of Jesus, Just say Dear Jesus, I just ask you right now to come into my life and save me, I admit and confess that I am a sinner. I believe that you came and died on a cross for my sins, and that you rose from the grave as a perfect sacrifice to cover the sins of all mankind. I do believe you are the Son of God and I ask you to make me one of your children in the Kingdom of Heaven, and be my Lord and Saviour, in Jesus Name Amen, If you Prayed this Prayer with a sincere heart you are now saved, You should feel a burden being lifted off your heart and the days will seem brighter as Christ begins a work in you, find a church, and start reading your Bible, may God Bless YOU!!! If you have any questions please feel free to email me. Mercy and Grace have been applied!!!

His mission was to tell of the Kingdom of God and to give up His own life for all man's sin. He did not come to bring a sickness and strife free Utopia on earth - that would eventually come to ruin, anyway, considering the human element.

He healed many people besides a leper and a blind man. He is recorded as healing a paralytic, raising a dead girl, raising Lazarus from the dead and healing Peter' mother in law. This is besides the account of Him "healing all who came to Him". He healed all these people to A) prove His authority, B) show God's power, and C) have mercy on the individuals.

You sound like a Pharisee .

Jesus may not have done much in your eyes but but no person has so effected the world as that one man. Maybe God wants you to find the cure for Cancer.... Think about it.

Wow. I don't think you would say that Sir Alexander Fleming didn't do much - and all he did was discover Penicillin (speaking of which: he didn't "invent" Penicillin, he discovered it. Technically Jesus did invent it)!
Jesus redeemed the whole world! I don't think that I could ask for much more. His mission was not to take away all our problems. That's what the Jews mistakenly expected. They thought that He would come and overthrow everybody who was oppressing them. When He didn't, they rejected Him.

Because those claiming to be the "Messiah" (and there were a number of them running around at the time) couldn't manage anything better than the sorts of tricks still being used by "faith healers" and stage magicians.

Ha! Now that's a good one. He made disciples and taught them how to operate in faith, for themselves.
Kind of like teaching them how to fish?

He Himself lost His temper, now and then, because of man's stubborness to learn. His time was short but ours was not. So the question is, why isn't man doing what He taught?

Christians censored the great things he did: inciting free love and trasmuting water in to wine.

He did invent those things and more. He also gave you the choice of thought and the intelligence to collect information to form an opinion. He gave you freedom to ask and the blessing to receive in an abundance that you may be filled and more.

PENICILLIN WILL NOT GIVE ETERNAL LIFE
====================================

*He died for your sin
*He came to redeem you
*He came to adopt you
*He will make resurrect from death

This despite your blaspheming his name!

In resurrection you will stand in front of the throne of grace, in humiliation!

Remember, Jesus laid down his life for you!
