You are 15. Don't believe the hype. You live to see the Global Warming scare turn into another Global Cooling scare in 30 years or so. Relax. Breathe. Live your life.

In the past 100 years the earth's global temperature rose 0.7 degrees Celcius. Considering what scientists have been saying that doesn't sound like much. Global Coooling is also something for you to look into considering people were flipping out over that 50 years ago (give or take a decade). I don't think there's anything to worry about. Yes the pollution is a problem but I don't think that's what's causing Global Warming. The temperature on Mars is rising too but that isn't being researched. Also according to Kyoto (the UN's answer to global warming) the amount of green house gasses that will be reduced will be so pathetic it's not even worth doing.

Some people say we're all going to die because of global warming, some people say the world is flat and that Elvis works at the local convenience store. Not everything people say is true.

Global warming is a problem, it's not the end of humanity. We'll all be affected one way or another, some seriously. Some people will die but this is primarily confined to the countries that are least able to defend themselves from the effects of climate change - primarily the African and Asian countries.

If you live in the developed world you've got more change of being killed in a motor vehicle accident than dying of global warming.

You won't die, if you live in a rich country.

The country will have to move people away from coasts and completely redo their agriculture and irrigation systems. That will cost huge amounts of money and make you poorer, but you won't die.

In poor countries already struggling to feed themselves, some people (not all) will die of starvation.

But there is a plan to reduce global warming that will avoid all that, for all countries. It was worked out by hundreds of scientists and economists. It is affordable and practical.

This book will explain how you can work to help reduce global warming. It should be available in most any bookstore. Ask your parents to read it too.

People who say that are wrong. It will never get warm enough to kill you or even warm enough for you to notice the difference. It may get a few degrees warmer, on average, but not more than that. and it will take 100 years or more. It is just not a deadly problem. It just isn't. Earth has gone through past natural cycles of warm periods and ice ages, and the warm periods are always good for life. Global Warming will not be any warmer than past natural warm periods, and when the world runs out of coal and oil, it will naturally stop getting warmer. It will just be another warming cycle in the history of life on Earth. This warm cycle will be quicker and caused differently than previous ones, but it will not be warmer.

Young Man, if a person is writing a paper, looking for a school project, or looking to make contact with other concerned people this is a fairly good place to come. You have to put up with a certain amount of verbal abuse, smart alec's heckling you for caring about something, and bad information. If you are worried about dying, this is about the worst place you could possibly come. I urge you to talk to your school counselor or nurse about your fears. Hopefully they can direct you to more reputable sources of information, other appropriate assistance. May God Bless you.

Hope for the best, prepare for the worse. If you are convinced te end is near why do you continue to eat, consume resources, go to school. Using fear to justify inaction is just an excuse. No matter how small, you CAN make a difference.

If I were you, I'd be more worried about dying from a drive by shooting, car accident or drug overdose. If you survive all of those then it will probably be heart disease or cancer.
Snap out of it. Why spend you're whole life worrying about things that are totally out of your control, what fun is that?

I think that we will die from the EFFECTS. we won't die right away, but it will be a chronic death. For example, why is everyone getting cancer and horrible diseases that people did not get often before? Part of it has to do with the horrible environment that humans have created for this generation and beyond.
