do you believe in this? our human population will soon make its way up to 8 billion, but the problem we are fighting along with other things is world hunger.

just a few decades ago, the whole world made its own food. every country, could feed their own people. now only 6 countries have the capability of doing so, this includes the united states.

the rising population only makes it harder, and if we keep feeding ourselves we will make it grow more and we need to feed more mouths. there is a limiting factor that will have to stop us.

i believe that we should somehow stop having so much births so there isn't so much people we need to keep alive, and have more babies that will do the same. do you agree?

i mean, i feel sorry for them but its the only way to control our needed space and stop this problem. i am having second thoughts about bringing another being to this world.

I have a modest proposal that would help alleviate the problem. We could create incentives for the poor to turn in their excess children for reprocessing into good, nourishing potted meat products.

The idea that every country made it's own food is preposterous. For decades, the U.S. provided the majority of the wheat and grain used worldwide. Now on to the rest of the question. Who is going to decide what countries, and what peoples are going to be allowed to have children, and how many? The United Nations is too corrupt to provide the proper management of a child control initiative. The U.S. is already doing it's part, having aborted more than 45 million fetuses in the past 30 odd years. China is doing it's part as well with the one couple, one child rule. Then there is the issue of when to decide to end any such program, if the timing isn't perfect, then human civilization dies out.
The best answer to ending world hunger is to export freedom and capitalism to every country in the world. There is a reason why this miracle called The United States is the most prosperous nation in the history of man.........capitalism.

The root cause of world hunger, and along with that, poverty, is that hungry people are ruled by either dictators or socialist forms of government. Both forms of government squash individual productivity in order to maintain control.

Where there is individual productivity, and freedom, there is no hunger. In the U.S., the only people who stay poor are those who choose to.
One of the unintended consequences of diversifying our energy needs by using more ethenol (a horrible energy source for modern civlizations), is that now corn and other grains that have been used as food are diverted to making a fuel that takes almost twice as much energy to produce than it contains. Because of this the world wide price of corn and other food grains has almost tripled in a very short time, making it even harder for poorer peoples to feed themselves.

Don't be having second thoughts of bringing another human being into this world, it is your exclusive rights and privileges in doing so. Why? If others have the right to be happy, why can't you? You are just making yourself as poor as ever before. It is only in the matter of right attitude and right calculation to bring offspring in this world. One of the best example is this, if you are poor would you try to have 5 or more babies, I think that is stupid in your part wouldn't
it? That is why we are overpopulated because some of us cannot feed our own kids yet we keep on propagating more mouths to feed in one household. Isn't this dumb?

But donot worry, nature has an answer to that, notice the change in climate lately? Those countries that donot experience storms are now experiencing one. And those dry arid land are now experiencing wet and stormy weather. Floods, hurricane, tidal wave has become a natural occurance in every parts of the globe. Some scientist are predicting that the ice caps in the north will soon be melting creating a catastrophic phenomenon world wide. Global warming has man to reckon with. The HANDS OF GOD? Maybe. This is our contribution to polluted environment. Thanks to us. Don't be thinking twice of not having your own kind some day, it is your rights TAKE IT and hope you do the right thing in the near future for your family.

If you took every human being on the planet and placed them inside the continental limits of the United States, the population density would be less than that of central London England. The "zero population growth" idea was quite popular for several decades and has left us with a financial nightmare for social services in the U.S. The largest generation ever born in the country had one of the lowest reproductive rates. So, the size of the work force needed to pay their pensions is quite small.
I've been reading about the dire consequences of overpopulation most of my adult life. India was one of those places where the "experts" said that famine would be ever-present. Then Doctor Borland came up with dwarf wheat and famine went away.
I'm confident that other innovations will come along to increase productivity in what are now deserts. A quick look at the Negev Desert in Israel shows what can be done.

I'm sure there's more then 6 countries that can feed their own people. Most of Europe I'm quite sure, Australia, the Americas.
I think the hunger issue is a problem. But the one main factor in all of this is greed. We are as the world capable of stopping this epidemic, if we just gave more, or countries could stop having wars, most of Africa can't grow food on their land because of guerrilla factions, and also due to extreme drought.
People are just to selfish to help a fellow man out. I'm sure it's going to remain unresolved problem forever, as terrible as it sounds.

A better solution would be to give all the food that is outdated in all the Supermarkets and other Food Stores to an organization that would feed the Hungry. Think about it, food that is out of date by 1 day is thrown away, when there are hungry people that are starving in the world. That would be a better solution or at least a place to start.

I'm more concerned with the Illegals coming over to sit at the dinner table in America for free while we pickup the check.

The waiting line expecting to be fed by USA is neverending.

Do understand that some religions in India and Rome believe in NO BIRTH CONTROL. India will soon surpass China as the most populated country on the planet. THEY are the ones who need to be stopped. But they do what they want and expect others to feed them.

World hunger was ended sometime in the 1970s. The problem is distribution of food, which is often blocked by warlords in third-world countries. We could easily feed twice the number of people that we now do if criminals didn't steal the food.

if you want to end hunger first get rid of the illegal banking industry cancel all debts (national debt) because all of it was had by fraud, we have been dupped and we have been lied to, all contracts based on lies and deception are null and void by the law.

why do I say this? well the international monetary fund (aka bank) gives loans to these poor countries, not to develope, they don't want those countries to develope, they have alot of resources that they want, but of course they don't want to pay for it, sound familar?

so by using the rulers under the threat of withholding money or threat of jackals, they use their armies to control the population to prevent wealth accumulation by the masses which would end hunger as they would be able to grow own food or afford to buy food. So it is protection racket and exploitation and robbery though predatory lending, hence debt the bankers know they can't pay, so they have an excuse to come in and take over the resources.

Then they are forced to grow cash crops to sell to just try and pay on the interest, which actually the people did not agree to the loan in the first place and are not responsible for someone elses debt. of course the rulers don't do any work they just take from the population, hence farmers are taxed in africa. so those poor struggling people are made to pay the rulers debt, without their consent or knowledge which is fraud and any debt based on fraud is null and void. but they control the guns.

so rather than grow foods that grow well in their climate and soil condition that would feed alot more people than corn, they are forced to grow food they themselves will not be permitted to eat for a debt they are not privvy to.

but what to do about all those pesky people standing in the way of resource acquesition? how about starving them to death, or starting a war? And let's not provide any medical care except sterilization.

RRRR

I don't know where you get your information, but there have always been poor, and always will be...never has every country been able to feed it's own people...we certainly can't start killing so the rest of us have more, and I don't think the population is in favor of the government telling us who can have children and how many.

No. The people of the world can be fed - easily. One problem is that even when we get food to some of those African countries, their own governments can't or won't get the food to the people who need it.
